I would stay here again. It was a good spot to read, enjoy the pool and 3 mile round trip runs to the beach. I really like the fact that Scott let us used the extra goodies in the cabinets in prevent a trip to the store. I was happy to leave a few things behind for the next guest, like the idea of sharing. I've lived on the Island before and never truly enjoyed the west side and the local food, it was a blast was this time. As a reminder you have to bring the Aloha spirit when driving around the island as local govt is improving their transportation system.

The location was very chill. Not too many people. View of beach was beautiful. The room was clean except for a little sand on floor and a few geckos but that's just part of the island experience. My boys loved catching them. I loved having a kitchen so we could make meals instead of eating out every meal. Scott is really nice and loved his recomendations of resteraunts and fun things to do. Makaha beach was beautiful and the waves were just enough to have fun and not so big where I didn't feel safe for my boys to swim in.
I specifically chose this location because I knew it would be away from the crowds of Waikiki. The property was well-maintained and we enjoyed staying there very much. There were items in the condo that you wouldn't get in a standard hotel room -- boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. Made it feel like a home not a hotel room. Not related to the condo - be prepared for the really heavy traffic if you decide to venture into Honolulu. We gave ourselves double the estimated travel time in order to arrive on time to places on the other side of the island.
