Together, the description and photos tell you all about the house, and tell it accurately. My wife and I plus a friend stayed here for two weeks in late September, and our daughter also joined us for five days. It was ideal accommodation for us, and in a great location. Two wonderful beaches, some bars, numerous restaurants and basic shopping are all available within walking distance, and more extensive shopping/eating/drinking is a 5-minute drive away.
Safety note – depending on the tide, the two local beaches can shelve quite steeply in some places, and toddlers / small children would need to be closely watched.
S'Agaró is a very good location for exploring Catalonia: the Costa Brava to the north and south, and inland as well. The prices in bars and restaurants are about what you would expect in the UK, sometimes leasingly lower, but they drop significantly as you go inland and away from the ‘expensive’ coastal strip. You can find good 3-course lunches including bread and a glass of wine for 13 euros. Note that in many restaurants, the bargain ‘menu-of-the-day’ is available at lunchtime only, not in the evening.
Two things that were not mentioned in the house details:
- the two local beaches are linked by a truly spectacular coastal path that even quite elderly people will find easy to walk along. It's about 1.5 miles long. You'll want to walk along it every day!
- Victoria, the owner, could not be more helpful - a delight to communicate with.
