We actually booked this Hotel on the great reviews and so glad we did!
The hotel was still busy when I left on Wednesday 10/10/18 and I was told this was there last week open for 2018. Luckily we had a family room which was a lot larger than a normal room, bathroom was twice the normal size and we had 2 singles and a double bed in the main area.
Also the room looked out over the sea front. Food was excellent and drinks at the bar were reasonably priced at 2.80 euro for a large draught beer. 2 pool tables at 2 euros a game and a free table tennis table outside. Fridge in room always very helpful.

There is a small gym in the basement, near where the indoor pool is. Also a very cold outdoor pool on the roof.

Free fast Wi-Fi @ 30mbps in reception/bar and lounge area.

The TV has 2 English channels - BBC world news and 1 other. But some of the other channels can be turned into English if you change the Samsung TV settings from Spanish to English and they are showing US or UK shows. Adverts still in Spanish, and there are lots of them :-( .

We were on the corner of the building next to the Disco, but sound proofing fairly good so only heard the bass coming through the walls but it wasn't too loud.

Staff, service and food were all excellent. Hotel Entertainment was average with a Flamenco show from outside and the rest provided by the in-house entertainment staff.

The train station is approx. 12 min walk away and can take you to Barcelona centre in approx. 1h 10 mins. The train line is across the road but the trains are a lot quieter than UK trains.

There are plenty of excursions on offer at the hotel and other ticket offices along the strip - we used the one in Santa Suzanna approx. 10-15 min walk from hotel. The Medieval/Flamenco /Spanish night at the castle in Blanes is worth a visit. approx. 44e PP inc free wine and coach.

A few minor things they could improve on to make this a 5 star rating.
1) Update some of the gym equipment. Also Air-con needs fixing in gym, or made easier to operate.
2) Include an information pack and kettle in the room.
3) repair/replace half of the sun loungers.
4) Invest in the magician who was actually OK and get her some better props, as they were very basic tricks. Ok for children under 10 years old.

If you are looking for a great place to stay in the Costa Brava where you have all the facilities and services with a family treatment this is the right choice.
Near the beach, great buffet and swimming pools inside and outside.
We have enjoyed a great breakfast and particular attention from all the service always paying attention to our needs.
We had a great room with view to the beach and saw the riding sun, spectacular!!!
Highly recommended.

Just back from a week in this great hotel after a busy summer. Carmen on reception was just fantastic, always a smile and a hello, as was Antonia. The bar staff led by Ester were also on the ball and very welcoming so hats off to Rodrigo, Ludie & Ana thank you all. Rooms excellent and spotless again well done to housekeeping. Food was plentiful and losds to choose from, always something for everyone no matter dietry needs. The beach across the road def handy but wonders never cease, loads of loungers around the pool never an issue getting one. Two things that could be better, more English speaking chanels on the tv for families with kids and wifi should be free for all throughout the hotel. That aside we're already looking to book next year.

Third visit to this delightful hotel so near the sea and with shops, pubs so close.
Staff in the hotel are extremely kind and friendly and many of the visitors both from the UK and other countries tell me they go there year after year.
The rooms are beautiful, upgraded last year with fridge, power shower + normal shower, two double beds in our room and plenty of room.
The dining room is welcoming, the food is buffet style (which I prefer) with good food and plenty of it. One night a week is a feature night when more effort is put into decorating the dining room and there is a larger range of food than normal. There is an adult pool round the back and a kiddy pool too. If the loungers are full round the pool there are lots of other areas where you can sunbathe (as well as a small kids playground). There is also a small indoor pool at the bottom where you can spend time if the weather turns wet.
There is also a small pool on top of the hotel, so you are spoilt for choice, though not of them are heated.
There are two pool tables and table tennis is available and there is also a gym.

Room Tip: If you book a room on the 6th floor it is handy for the rooftop pool and sunbathing area.

We have just returned from 10 days at the Tropic Park Hotel. We were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We were treated with great kindness and respect from everyone. The girls on reception were so helpful and always seemed pleased to help. Carmen,Teresa, Sonia, were really sweet as were all the reception. The room was really lovely. The food was first class. The staff in the restaurant Christina, Mlang, and all the other waiters were very attendtive, and Lollie the head waiter was exceptionally efficient and made our dining very special. The bar staff also were always helpful and pleasant. The room maid also was very helpful and looked after us well. The hotel has high standards in cleanliness, linen and towels always fresh. I would recommend Tropic Park, you would be sure to have a wonderful holiday. The pools and other facilities were all very good and well maintained.
