A lovely beach to walk along and in between the three sisters sea pillars, especially when the tide is out and you can also get to the ‘bar and restaurant in the rock’!

Right at the far eastern end of Alvor beach are the cove beaches of Tres Irmaos..spectacular scenery .White sand..beach coves with fabulous swimming..even in October..the Atlantic was surprisingly warm..a few beach bars are great for a lovely relaxing lunch..go and enjoy..truly beautiful.

The sea was rough when there meaning no snorkeling but fab scenery. Bit more stony then the nearby beaches so if you have beach shoes be sure to bring them. We didnt and had a lovely time in the sea but were nervous of going out too far/getting pushed against the many rocks

Went looking for soft sand as many of the sand on the beaches are uncomfortable to walk on owing to high shell content or small stones just below surface. We arrived and parked in a local car park and walked down to the beach. The sand was lovely clean and soft to walk on. We walked along the beach which was very clean and fairly busy. The sea was warm or at least as warm as the Atlantic here gets. Waves were quite large with quite an undertow however there are areas with lifeguards along the shoreline and beach areas
