Excellent quality for the price with air conditioning that helped but not efficient. Somehow the friendly attitude and general ambience made up for any shortcomings. Arriving by speedboat was an experience in itself, I arrived like 007's martini, shaken not stirred.

Okay, where to start. First of all, the sheets did not look clean. Maybe they had been washed, but they had big yellowish areas as if they someone had rubbed dirty feet there. The porch area in front had definately not been sweeped that day. Even the walls had dirt on them. There was heavy rain in the morning and a huge crack in the bathroom ceiling meant everything wet in bathroom. Curtains could not close, so had to tape them together with pieces of band aid. Only one big ceiling light, so privacy was difficult. No lock on inside of door which, being a female solo traveller, doesn’t really provide for a peaceful nights sleep. Tried to tell staff when I realised this at 6 pm - all gone. Told them the next morning and they seemed like they could not care less. On the upside there’s a big fridge and coffee in room. Right on the beach - if you’re into beaches packed with mainly yelling chinese tourist and speedboats with engines roaring. Changed hotel after one night to Tok’s little hut only 10 minutes walk south - it has great location and nice clean huts. And the beach is even better and more quiet. And cheaper!

Me and my 4 friends stayed there for 2 nights. Breakfast isn’t included. The water is really weak. I really think for what I paid, it could be better than this.
I have been to Koh Samed many times and it’s become a ripoff place.

We were families with teenage children and this was a nice hotel right at the beach. Not soundproofed rooms, but clean and ok.
Free sun chairs and easy to go to any of all the restaurants at the beach. Also easy to walk to city for some shopping or other restaurants.

Simple hotel but with great location right on the Sai Kaew beach. Air conditioned and with shower. Suitable perhaps best for the backpacker or longstayer. The best way to get here from the mainland is by speedboat from Ban Pe pier.
