We have seen this place every trip to Khao Yai, but never were interested to stop as it looks quite old from the outside. Just today it was about time and we very hungry.

Quite pleasant indeed. The first impression of the place was beyond expectation. Very serene, plus low temperature of January, good start!

Food was delicious. We ordered Guyatiew Lord (Noodle roll), Gaengsom Poo Nim and Yod Tantawan (Soft-shell crab curry with young sunflower leaves), Tuna with crispy basil, fried Calamari with salt and pepper. All was tasty. Fried banana for dessert, looked like banana spring roll but as good too.

Price was also reasonable. Four dishes and a dessert cost less than a thousand baht. Value for money.

Next trip to Khao Yai, we might consider stopping by again.

Stopped there for lunch in the way back from Khao Yai to Bangkok. It was almost full house when we arrived so we were seating at corner table while waiting the bigger table (6 of us) and ordered in advance. The environment of the restaurant is really nice as they maintaining jungle sense sort of environmental. Even the restrooms are clean and open rooftop concept which I found quite impressive. The service were just OK generally. I've ordered rib eye steak with another friend (medium for her and we'll done for me). Both were medium when came in and I had to send it back to get it well done. It came back to the table almost 10 mins later. But it was good and succulent. The local wine is good too. Overall experience was great. I would come back if I have a chance. Definitely.

A friend recommended this Gold Plus for lunch while we were visiting Pak Chong. From the road, it didn't look much until you are in the grounds of the restaurant. It has a nice " secret garden" ambience and a peaceful relaxing feel about it. It has the capacity to cater for large groups but could prove to be a challenge for wheelchair trying to move into the restaurant and the comfort rooms. Ample parking space and easily located on the main highway.

The menu was vast with both Western and Thai choices. We started with drinks of grape juice all around with was refreshing but pricey . The beef tongue stew was sumptuous but rather small portion, the Rib eye steak was average, slow to arrive and cold but the price was rather on the expensive side. The green curry was watery and could be better. The Southern curry was delicious . We all loved the grill meats and sausages served with salad which quickly cleaned off the plates. The Chicken Briyani was excellent which was moist, succulent and lip smacking delicious , so much so some of us ordered take away. Available too , were beef jerky if you are into this snack - wee bit hard and salty - this restaurant speciality, it seems. We all came away with at least a few packets each .

Available on sale were grape juice bottles in cartons which are available elsewhere at more reasonable rates, preserves and jams and beef jerkey snacks . Dessert cakes in the display case looked rather lonely and dry .

Service was attentive and efficient. Most food items came quick and temperature was hot when served excepted the steak. The waiter was knowledgeable enough to recommend popular items. Will recommend to others to try this place .
