Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay here (albeit for only one night) The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large and spotlessly clean with a nice balcony overlooking the lovely gardens. And there is plenty to do in the surrounding area but you certainly need transportation.

The minus points.

Wi-fi didn't work at all for the entire 24 hours we were there - neither in the rooms nor in the public areas (something to do with the heavy rainfall the owner said - but we never saw a drop of the stuff) I was a little annoyed because "do you have wi-fi" was the first question I asked. I now realise that "is it working at the moment?" should have been my second question.

The breakfast was poor but it's generally what you come to expect in Thailand at these resort places - instant coffee, powdered milk, loads of salad (who on earth wants to start their day with half a plateful of lettuce?) a fried egg and a skinless Thai sausage. No cereals.

And for the first time ever, in all my travel experience, the mini-fridge wasn't plugged in. So in the morning, our complimentary water was still warm. There was also a fancy stone hand-gel dispenser with no hand-gel in it (why?) and there was about a quarter roll of toilet paper when we first used the toilet. All of these in my opinion show a lack of attention to detail.

The toilet and the shower in our room were seperate but the design was a little wierd. There is just a low dividing wall so the person taking a shower does not have 'complete privacy' from the person sitting on the toilet.
