We stayed in Oppieduin which is beautiful; right on the dunes and I would describe it as rustic comfort. We were the only guests there and it was idyllic as we had our very own beach and it was very peaceful. Beds are very comfortable and there are lots of plug sockets and mirrors so well done on that. On the other hand the service at the main house was really weird. Very strange people, very odd lack of welcome and abysmal breakfast, eggs inedible and no care or attention. I wouldn't be mentioning this here but we did comment and there was no response. I was given odd honey in sticky paper strips which came out the next day, all sticky with the used papers still in the pot - horrible. Staff completely oblivious. I would definitely return to Oppieduin but not recommend the guest house itself on the basis of our experience.

We stayed here for one night on a detour to visit the gannet colony at Lamberts Bay. We stayed in the main building which is on the other side of the road to the sea. For our purposes location was excellent, we felt very secure but we were cold in our room especially during the night despite the small panel heater. We thoroughly enjoyed watching yellow weaver birds at their intricate nests right next to the building. Sadly breakfast was marred by the presence of a large party which commanded the attention of the entire staff. However once we were on the radar things improved. On checking out our hosts couldn’t have been friendlier and gave us helpful advice about our route. All in all this B&B offers good safe accommodation and is good value. Bring warm PJs!

An amazing place built on the dunes 8km south of Lamberts Bay and withing walkin distrance (1.6km) from the famous "Muisbosskerm Restaurant". The road is now brand new tar and a pleasure to ride on (we were on motorcyles that dont like offroad all that much). Very comfortable and spacious accomodation with probably the best beds on our 12 day biking tour in the Western Cape. Unique and rustic but very comfortable and warm even with the wind blowing off the chilly Atlantic. The venue caters for groups as the communal living area is set-up to cater for groups. Breakfast is served back at the main lodge about 300m away. Friendly and helpful hosts. No covered parking though.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite on the dunes. Rustic, quaint, windy, wonderful. Right on the beach, sun shine, waves crashing, blowing a southerly gale, we loved it. Breakfast was served in the main house across the road which was fine. The owner and staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay again when in this part of the country.

Room Tip: Honeymoon suite is worth the extra.

We spent 4 very restful nights at this guesthouse. The owners and staff were all so kind to us. There was fruit, juice, coffee, and yogurt every morning followed by cooked breakfast. Our room was spacious and had an ocean view from our second floor room. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I've slept on in months.
