We don't do the GPS thing as we prefer to explore on our own and ask directions from locals. On the occasion of locating this inn we stopped at the town police station and got the royal treatment--an officer led us right to the inn in his police car. Once you are there it is easy to navigate your way around the area. We were first greeted by some barking mutts who turned out to be Leona, Casper and Lucy (all three friendly, rescued dogs). Pedro, the owner, was very helpful and gave us some hand-drawn maps to find our way around the area. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the terrace to sit out and enjoy the view. You can see the rain forest and the ocean from the terrace. Unfortunately, we did not have time to use the pool. Breakfast was good--fresh fruit, cereal, bread, etc.
The best part of our stay was having the company of the dogs and Kuto, one of the cats. The most impressive experience at the inn was finding out they support Island Dog, Inc., a local dog rescue group.More
