What a treat! Yes, we were lucky with amazing weather...but even without the wall-to-wall sunshine, this would have been the ideal place to spend a week. Wonderful location which is a short trip from Broadford and gives easy access to all the other great places to visit. From the cottage turn left or right at the end of the lane and you can choose from loch side or sea shore for a daily stroll. The cafe sells the most delicious cakes, just ideal after a climb up the magnificent Bla Bheinn (Blaven). And did I write that the cottage has a splendid view of the aforementioned Munro?
The cottage was delightful and prettily furnished.Ideally equipped kitchen. Brand new comfy beds with lovely linen and a large newly fitted family bathroom.Cosy sitting room with a woodburning stove (didn't need it) and a glorious little sunroom (used it all week).
Did I mention the sun shone for a whole week?
I was the first person to stay in this lovely rural cottage in the village of Torrin which is on the road between Braodford and Elgol
I had been in Torrin many times before and is location, near to Loch Slapin, in the lea of Blavin is really hard to match
The house, which was originally a crofters house, has been tastefully and comfortably renovated whilst retaining many beautiful original features.
It was warm and cosy and the beds were very comfortable!
There is a sun porch with lovely views over the large rural garden which is great to have a morning coffee or drink in
Everything that you need to start cooking, washing etc is supplied and the welcome pack is a lovely touch!
There is good wifi too which is somwhat unusual in parts of the isl
I loved staying there and we will certainly be back!!
The cottage was stylish and artfully decorated. The owner had thought of everything we would need and it was to a high standard. The beds were comfy and the water was lovely to drink and wash in.
The location, Torrin, was perfect for us. Off of the beaten track with a stunning loch nearby, but it felt essential to have a car. There were stunning walks nearby and a lot of useful books and guides for further afield.
The host provided eggs, milk, bread and etc which was really appreciated after a long journey up from London.
We would love to return.
Nice and warm atmosphere. A lot of character and cosy. Will defintely come back!
A lot of good tips were to be found it the cottage and we felt really at home.
