A family trip out on the most unpleasant days of weather. Easter Monday - we called in, thinking of picking up a couple of bedding plants. What a surprise and relief to find that it has a lovely restaurant- bustling warm and friendly.

Everything about this felt good. The spotless car park may seem irrelevant- but we just bought a new car ...

I had a really good seafood chowder -as did my wife , while the children’s menu was also nicely prepared - especially the fish and chips.

I will actively look to return - it was an oasis !

Food was quick to arrive despite it being very busy. Burger was ‘ok’ according to husband and brother in law, and the quiche and salad I had was ok, although quiche was not hugely flavoursome. Staff were friendly, but did have to remind them about parts of order. A nice place with average meal, you will be assured of decent enough food, but nothing special. However, the desserts looked great.

This farm shop/coffee shop/restaurant/gift shop is situated roughly half way between Greyabbey and Kircubbin on the Strangford coast road. As you travel from Greyabbey you'll see the brown Harrison's sign on your left. Follow the long lane (good tarmac surface) about half a mile and you'll reach the premises at the top of the hill. They have a gift shop and a large restaurant which has views overlooking Strangford Lough. They also have an outdoor terrace which is great on a warm day. We had coffee and scones and our bill came to £8.13. They charge £1.99 for filter coffee or £2.20 for an Americano. Normal scones (plain, fruit, cherry) are £1.95 and special scones (Cinnamon & Apple, Rhubarb & Ginger) are £2.20. They also do breakfast, lunches and afternoon tea. Staff are friendly and helpful and service is good. We would go here again.
