'Stayed here for a weekend to attend a birthday party. Finding the place wasn't difficult but it is a little tucked away, and that adds to its charm. In the middle of the town within walking distance to pubs, cafes shops, but parking is for a 'small' car. For it's location, it's remarkable quiet and peaceful, and my dog loved sitting in the front window.
Inside, Ripple Cottage looks to be recently renovated and has been done, and is maintained, immaculately. Small (for a house maybe) but beautifully appointed - who needs a hotel?
Appears to be listed twice here, once by Jay and again by Lynette (the owners) who are both friendly and approachable.
Really highly recommended if you're a couple & a dog looking for somewhere to stay in 'Last of the Summer Wine' country, and if you do, be sure to visit the Woodman Inn (see review) for lunch or dinner.
