Having just returned from this lovely hotel I am confident in recommending it for anyone who is looking for a realaxing break. The staff are incredibly polite and helpful and took very good care of us. Valet parking is available. The room was spacious and well equipped. We had ensuite with both bath and shower. Some nice touches were added in the evening when the beds were turned down and classical music was playing when we returned to the room to find complimentary aromatherapy gifts. The dining room is bright and airy and breakfast was very good. We did not have evening meal there. Use of the spa facililtes was availble to use throughout our stay. I did not expect to be swimming outdoors in April but the outdoor heated pool was great as was the outdoor hot tub. The heat experience rooms were good too and I particularly enjoyed the aromatherapy room and the foot spa. I had a massage whilst there which was excellent. Staff at the spa were lovely and often checked that everything was just as I wanted. There is a quiet relaxation lounge and a juice bar with light food available. Highly recommended.

Room tip: We had an executive room in the old part of the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. Modern poolside suites are available.

Booked a spa getaway with a friend and had high expectations after the rave reviews and high standards boasted by the hotel and spa. Had a lovely treatment and lazy afternoon in the spa - both of us were very impressed by the 'mix and match' approach to how you used your allocated time! Whilst the food at dinner was superb, we were disappointed in the poor service as we had clearly been forgotten about by the waiters (it took 3 hours in total and this was a mid-week service!). You can imagine our laughter when this happened again the next day at breakfast - well over an hour with the cooked breakfast being brought to the table in the last 5 minutes (forgotten by any chance?!) It's no surprise that we were the last people eating with the waiting staff clearing up around us! Not the most relaxing atmosphere when you are left feeling that you are somewhat in the way! Overall - a lovely place with great food and spa facilities. It's just a shame that the staff seem be trained to just 'apologise' immediately without actually bothering to be bothered! This even extended to the check-out when yet again, we were given an empty apology about the lack of attention we had received! Would definitely recommend for the food and spa - just as long as you are prepared to wait for the good stuff!

The spa is really gorgeous but pricey - definitely worth it for a treat. Location excellent and food superb. All-in-all, could have been a perfect stay, but the room was small and very average for such an expensive rate, breakfast service was inattentive and we had to wait too long to be served. It's such a shame, because the reception staff and night-time turn-down service were really special.

Stayed in a poolside suite, whilst the decor was a little tired, it was fine. The facilities particularly the outdoor heated pool were fantastic. My wife enjoyed the Spa. The breakfasts and dinners were of a very high standard and were served by attentive staff who took time to speak to guests. Worthy of a special mention was the Concierge who parked my car for me made a fuss of my 4 yr old and even found us an umbrella when it rained.

Excellent!

As the title suggests, this was our third time back at the 'Feversham Arms'. After a fantastic first visit, the third trip back was overwhelmingly average.

We took advantage of the 'March madness' deal which placed us in a luxury pool side suite for 2 nights complete with log burner. All very nice.

What was not nice was breakfast service. I would even go as far to say there were moments which bordered on shambolic! Across the two days issues ranged from minute cereal bowls due to "an unfortunate accident" according to the 'Breakfast Manager', a skeleton staff which led to painfully long delays in ordering/getting food, tables just left with used plates and cups and no hurry to clear them and worst of all, when the food did arrive it was cold!! Add to this the tired state of the Breakfast Manger's clothing, you fear that standards and attention to detail are rapidly in decline.

For an establishment that boasts high class dining at Michelin star prices, apologies 'Feversham Arms' but you are clearly punching above your weight and then some.

Time to re-group, take stock and get the sparkle back we saw at Christmas. Do that, then we will come back!
