stayed at this hotel in august 2009 with my mum, dad and younger sister. it's in a great location, about a ten minute walk away from the beach, and about a thirty minute walk to puerto rico. you can also take a taxi up to the 'europa shopping centre', which is near puerto rico as well.

the complex is lovely, there is a pool for the children, and another pool. however, this pool isn't very large, but it's quite deep. there is also a pool bar, which serves hot dogs and chips, things like that, but you would have to pay unfortunately. underneath the lobby there is a computer, which you would have to pay for as well.

we had a lovely room too, there was a room for my parents, and a sofa bed in the main room, and we would pull out the bed underneath, which was for my sister. there was a small tv too, and i remember my dad watching bbc weather on our last day. the kitchenette looked nice too.

there was a hotel near us (it wasn't the gloria palace royal), and they did karaoke every night, and we had to suffer listening to awful singers, especially one guy who tried singing angels by robbie williams! also, there was a block where the spanish would stay for a few days, and they were a bugger as well!

however, THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING! seeing as we went in august, it was boiling, and one night i woke up and i saw this white sheet on the balcony, and i thought it was a ghost, but it was only my dad, he slept outside for one night. on our last day though, we looked in a room next to the reception desk, and surprise, surprise, it was full of fans! we were kicking ourselves when we saw them!

most nights, we would go to a restaurant along the beach. it was called 'the monaco'. it was a great restaurant, the food was lovely and the staff there are great too. so if you're staying in amadores, check out the monaco if it's still there, you'll enjoy it! there are other restaurants, bars and markets along the beach. in the reception there is a guest book, and people would leave their comments, and a lot of people wrote about one restaurant, i can't remember what it's called, but it had 'irish' in the name. we went there on a last day for lunch and the food is lovely too.

there is a spar next to the shop, and every morning, we would get croissants, with another english couple we got friendly with.

one thing about the reception though - the woman is only there for a few hours a day, so when we went to check out, she wasn't there, so we just left our room keys behind a flower pot.

would we go back to the hotel? hmmm, maybe. we have always gone self-catering, and when we went here, we spent so much on ice creams, we decided to go all-inclusive to save money, and we have fallen in love with a hotel in turkey called the alba queen hotel, and we are going back there this summer for our second year in a row.

These apartments are amazing and definately deserve more than 3 stars.
First of all the place was spotless, we didn't see a cockroach (which the canaries are well known for having) the whole time we stayed there.
The actual apartments were huge, nice and bright, well equipped kitchen, air-con, big balcony with lovely view of the sea - about 80% oof the apartments face the towards the sea and the others look out onto a very very quite road. We were on the tip floor but for those who have trouble with stairs don't worry there is a modern but small elevator.
The pool is on the smallish side but was always quiet, there were plenty of sunbeds although we did have an occasion where one man kept 4 parasols for 3 beds :-/ and wouldn't share even 1 with us but that's not the Hotels fault. The pool bar is nice with lovely food and there is a Spar attacthed to Terraza which was great.
The staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful, even the maids were nice.
Amadores beach is like 1minute away, it's beautiful and clean. This is also where you'll find a great selction of restauraunts, so you don't have worry about finding good food. Puerto Rico isn't too far away if you want something more to do, you can get a taxi, 5mins, bus, 10mins, or walk which will give you fantastic view or the ocean but it takes about half an hour to 45mins and as long as you don't do it when it's the height of summer and too hot then the walk is not too bad.
Overall we had a great time and even though this place has little reviews I should let you know that i'm extremely picky and I would be giving it such high praise if I didn't think it deserved it. We've been to all the canary islands and always different hotels but never had one before that we have an overwhelming desire to go back to until Terraza Amadores.

BTW the Terraza Amadores is in Amadores near Puerto Rico it is not anywhete near Mogan which is probably a good hours drive north.

Best is the location - only 5 minutes to the beach - in comparison with the other resorts in Amadores which are very much up the hill! No luxury - but solid and kept clean by daily visits. Good big bathroom and not to underestimate - you can actually sleep on the madresses!
Minor things observed - reception seems to be closed more or less the entire day, receptionist nowhere to be seen. Bedsheets a bit worn at the edges - TV set new, but again only with access to one international channel. With the number of northern european guests present a more customeroriented satellite package would be nice. This said, it's only minors - and I would recommend it for families.

Just back from the Terraza Amadores 16th - 24th September. I would highly recommend these apartments. They are Spacious and in excellent condition and kept immaculately clean. The large balcony with access from both the bedroom and living area is a useful and pleasant feature. The staff at the apartments are helpful and always speak as you pass. The location is ideal for the beach, on a slight incline with a spar on site. The only downside is the lack of air conditioning and the fact you have to leave your patio door open at night which leaves you exposed to traffic noise early mornings. Will definitely return.

Our second visit to the Terraza Amadores.
it is well named because it is a 'LOVELY' place to stay.
The appartments are very spacious, very clean and facilities in the appartments are good.
we stayed there in Sept 2011 and May 2010, weather was very hot as usual so you will need a fan for the room for evenings.
The large Balcony with the great see view and view of the beautiful beach was great to sit in evening with a glass of the local Sangria.
Reception staff as always very friendly and helpful, and more than happy to have a chat.
only a 5 minute walk to the Beach. 20 minute walk to Puerto Rico round the Mountainside is Stunning during the day or Evening.
New Management in the Pool Bar the First day we arrived.
A lovely Family from the South of England who have done a great job with the Pool Bar Facilities. Great Breakfast, snacks and lunch available throughout the day.
Try the Sangria on Tap, it's great, i had a couple it was that good.
well done to all.

Room Tip: level two or threee for the View to the see and beach.
