How to go?
It is about 25 mins car ride from the airport.

Room:
I stayed in the suite that has a view of caldera. The room has one of the nicest location in the hotel overlooking the sea. Yes, the view is fantastic! You also get to see Oia. The room is a double storey bedroom. The first floor has a small living room, queen size bed, bathroom and walk in. The upper floor is super single bed. Size wise is pretty good. Outside is a nice sitting porch and your personal hot tub. But I feel lack of privacy. Other people can see you easily from the common walk way. The amenities is pretty standard. The bed is nice and comfy. The pillows are still not too bad. Complementary bottle waters are there. The free wifi in the room is super slow. They told me there are complementary newspaper but did not delivered to my room at all.

Bathroom:
The bathroom consists of a huge jacuzzi bathtub. But the problem is it has no shower curtain. Either they expect you to soak in tub or bathe while sitting down. For sure, the floor will be super wet when u finished showering. As the floor is cement floor, it will make it very slippery. Bathing kits and amenities are pretty standard. Towels ok.

Services:
When I arrive, I was offered help with my baggage. Check in and out is rather fast. The staffs are trying their best to help. I am not sure if they are understaffed during winter. Cos most of the time, reception has no people. But if you dialed, there will be people picking up and attend to your request rather quick. Another let down is during the first day, there is no housekeeping. I need to call to remind them to refresh the room. Tea in the room is also not replenished.

Amenities + breakfast
There are parking lots just opposite this hotel. Winter time, parking is not an issue. There is a outdoor pool. The breakfast are ok. Standard stuffs. But you do get a nice caldera view. But again, I think they are understaffed. They open the breakfast at 8am and I was there once at 815am and the food is not ready. Another time, the food finished rather fast and it is not quickly replenished.

Hotel:
The location of the hotel is rather quiet. I will not say is the best cos nothing much within walking distance. But if you drive, the location is considered pretty good. It is 5 mins drive away from central imerovigli. Another 5 mins or so drive to Fira. Driving to Oia is 15 mins.

Verdict:
For the price, I expect a lot more. But it has been hits and misses. The staffs are trying very best to help and make you comfortable. However, their service still need to improve. The view from this hotel is one of the best though.

Having just returned from a two week honeymoon at Rocabella Santorini, I wanted to note my sincere thanks to the staff who made our stay so special as well as a few things I would have wanted to read before planning my trip.

The island is beautiful. It is larger than most but we wanted the increased options for food / activities etc and it delivers this. We had mixed weather - on the sunny days the island is a paradise and you will never be short of things to do or see (or simply just soak up the sun). On the moody days the breadth of activities certainly helps - be it diving/art/pottery/wine tasting - there are a multitude of things to keep one entertained.

Another kind mention to our concierge - Konstantinos - whom was ever-present when we needed to arrange activities (or cancel them when the weather turned!). He is a credit to the team and made our stay all the better.

Regarding the rooms - we stayed in room 132. The sunset side of the resort (West) is good for the sky at dusk however temper this with it being rougher when the winds pick up.

The restaurants are all fantastic. Breakfast in particular was a knock-out! Our favourite restaurants were Axinos and Rocabella !

Clearly the price is higher than other resorts and you will need to go in with open eyes when spending time on the island - however for a Honeymoon you will never forget, I could not recommend the resort more highly.

I hope you have a wonderful trip if you decide to go !!!

Room Tip: Do choose rooms 132,133 or the rest of the front caldera view rooms
