I visited Santorini last year with my husband, for our honey moon. We stayed in Aeolos for 10 days, in the 2nd half of May. As we were looking for a quiet and not that commercial place with Caldera view, but in the same time close to the lively Thira, this was the perfect choice. The staff was extremely friendly and warm, and we felt literally like home. The only negatives I would mention are the breakfast, which was quite modest and exactly the same for all ten days, and the humidity in the rooms, but as we were practically living in a cave:-), I imagine it can not be avoided; nevertheless, I assume in the summer months this would not be disturbing and even in May, when the high temperatures had just started, it was not that annoying...

We stayed at this boutique hotel (seven suites) becuase we wanted the view of the Caldera without the crowds of Fiera. It was wonderful. We had their Honeymoon suite (44th). The private balcony and unlimited view was spectacular. We had been to Santrini 12 years ago and the views are still breath taking. We ate art a nearby Taverna on the footpath in Imerovigli that was great and took the bus to Oia for a dinner. oia is still a much nicer place to wlak and sigtsee than Fiera that is over run with cuise passangers and way to many motorbike rental companys). But You have to see the view if you go to the greek Isles and this hotel has one of the best locations.

Santorini is a wonderful place to be and it was our third visit there. Unfortunately we were misled by the hotel's website-that does not depict reality!
The room was awful, humid as hell, with an A/C that didn't work properly, and a bathroom where you had to climb over the sink in order to get to the tiny shower. By the way, it was not the room that we had booked (the hotel owner had assured us that we would have our own balcony, privacy etc). We spent a horrible night there and the next morning we requested to see the owner in order to complain about the room. They told us that he was in Athens- a blatant lie since we asked in a nearby bakery and the baker told us that he was in Santorini. Actually, the baker had seen him and talked to him that day.
We left the hotel leaving our deposit that covered two nights and went "shopping" for rooms. We found a half-decent room at Phenix hotel and moved there immediately.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL AND DON'T TRUST THE CROOK WHO OWNS THIS PLACE!

travelled with 4 other female friends to santorini just for a couple of days. unfortunately there was no hotel pick up for this hotel which made it more difficult but we arrived there safely. the hotel was so beautiful. pure and white with lots of stairs. quiet, serene with the most breathtaking views over the caldera!! we stayed in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment which was lovely. it would be a perfect spot for couples as it is quiet, unobtrusive and very romantic. service was good, however there is no hotel staff manning the office overnight, which makes late night checkout difficult. we had a lovely included continental breakfast out on the balcony!! i loved the location and the hotel. would recommend it.

My husband and I travelled to Santorini with our 1 year old daughter. We did alot of research as to where to stay with a child and found this beautiful gem of a place. It was so beautiful and the staff very warm and friendly. I cannot imagine anyone leaving the place not vowing to go back again. We certainly will on our next trip over to Santorini. We took our own stroller and the walkway into the main township was managable although had to take the pram down a few sets of stairs - we could have diverted onto the main road though to avoid the stairs. We were lucky to be there in May when the crowds haven't really arrived. It was busy enough though for the type of holiday we were after to soak in the culture and relax. The view is simply superb and the location is away from all the hustle and bustle but not too far away if you want a scenic walk into town.
Even though we travelled with our child it would be a fantastic place to stay just for a couples get away as well. It is sooooooooooooo beautiful..........
