Walt’s place is clean and comfortable with amazing wildlife all around it. From the beautiful birds and butterflies, to the amazing monkeys and iguanas. We spent many hours outside at the bistro table having breakfast, or relaxing in the hammocks. No matter the time of day there was always wildlife to observe. When it was too hot by the house, a dip in the pool or short walk to the ocean, did the trick. Cabuya is a beautiful place to visit. Walt is a great host, he is very knowledgeable about Costa Rica and was always willing to answer our questions.
Walt personally took time to show us around the area and introduced us to beautiful beaches and wildlife, only a local would be able to find.
Eric is a great fisherman and we really enjoyed catching a variety of fish. I highly recommend booking a fishing charter with him if you have the time.
Another great highlight of Cabuya is the nature reserve. Walt’s place is perfect distance to the reserve. No need to drive, it’s short a walk to the reserve.
We had an amazing adventure in Costa Rica, thanks to Walt, Eric, and Cindy.
We can’t wait to go back and explore some more.

What a place! We loved our 4 days at Walters house! It ended up being one of the best places we stayed in hole Costa Rica.
Very clean house (but there is a wildlife outside including ants and lizards) so we felt very welcome to let our little daughter crawl around inside the house. Bedas were great and we slept like babies under the fan + aircon!
Their pool is clean and great to have a swim in during the hot days.
Would give this place our warmest recommendations!

1 review This house has everything that you need for a perfect visit to Costa Rica. The pool is wonderful to relax and cool off, beaches are just a couple minute drive away, and just a couple minute walk to the ocean. Nature is literally all around you from monkey’s, to birds, iguanas and more. The house is equipped with ALL the kitchen essentials, beds are comfortable, and bathroom is modern. We loved hanging out on the patio in the hammocks listening to nature, makes for the perfect nap. Go explore the near by towns you won’t be dissapointed !
