I frequent Bahari whenever I’m in Melbourne. Unfortunately our last couple visits we’ve seen a decline in quality of the food the kitchen turns out, even though front of house is still as friendly and welcoming as ever. The food is ordinarily extremely fresh and flavorful. Last couple visits, lamb was fattier, sent out cool, and fish dish was a tad funky-on the nose as it hit the table. Very unusual for this establishment but someone in the kitchen needs to have a chat, we’d hate to see a good place go down.

Our party had the $50 banquet.
The food was delicious, service was great.
I would have preferred the food to come out a little slower but apart from that we all had a delicious experience.

We went today for a joint birthday lunch and decided on the set menu at $45 pp for eleven of us.

As we have recently arrived home from a trip to Greece (Greek Islands and Crete) we were so happy to be able to say that this food equalled anything we ate there in bith taste and cost.

Really a lovely place to enjoy modern greek food in lively and fun surroundings

We had dinner before the rugby. We had the $50 banquet and there was plenty of tasty food. The staff inquired if we needed to be out by any particular time and they bought the food out quickly to make sure that we left in time. The owner and the staff were attentive and the overall experience was great.

We arrived with only 80mins time to spare before the Rugby match at AAMI Park. Our waitress was friendly and confident offering to do the ordering and have us out in time to walk up to the stadium. The food & beers was excellent and we made it out of the restaurant in time. I will definitely come back when next in Melbourne and plan to have 2 or 3 hours to fully enjoy their menu.
