Two of us stopped in for lunch and were welcomed like old friends. That's the best part of Walker's Landing: you'll always find a warm greeting, and a cozy atmosphere.
The food seems fairly standard: soups, salads, sandwiches for lunch; ribs and heartier fare for evening meals.
While not particularly inventive, the food is basic and delicious. You certainly can't fault an establishment for "doing the basic things right." The salads & sandwiches were freshly made; the soup hit home just like Mom's Chicken Soup would do.
I think the best part of this place is feeling that you're welcome, and that there's no need to rush.
Sometimes you just need some good old fashioned TLC, a home away from home.
Lots of regulars on the day we stopped in, who seemed to echo our sentiments.
The waiter was accommodating and stopped to check on us several times.
They were not accommodating with some specific meal requests. For example, we asked if they could give all flats for wings and they wouldn't. Lasagna was very flavourful but unfortunately was missing one key ingredient---the pasta! I think there was only two pieces of pasta. It was very good though. Meat sauce was excellent.
The chicken pasta linguine had bacon in it and alfredo sauce. It was very delicious. The garlic toast was underwhelming.
The beeritas are amazing!
We have always enjoyed our visits to this restaurant and we esp like the chicken pot pie on their cooler weather menu. Staff are helpful and friendly.
Myself and two colleagues stopped in to watch the Mayweather and McGregor fight and to grab a bite. Place was busy and a little understaffed but we were there for the long haul so didn't mind. Staff was excellent, food was very good and the atmosphere and other patrons were pleasing. Overall, a very good night
