“Tranquil, picturesque and cosy”

The lodges are well equipped, in an ideal location with beautiful scenery. Janet is a great host, very welcoming and informative. There is lots to do from walking, boat trips, bike rides, taking on the Ben Nevis or just relaxing on the pebbled beach surrounding loch lochy. My son enjoyed feeding the pine martens which paid a daily visit to the lodge for jam or peanut butter sandwiches and of course taking the Jacobite steam train (used in the Harry Potter movies) from Fort William to Mallaig. All in all, very happy, very relaxing and will be returning.

“Cozy little cabin by the loch”
Reviewed 20 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We spent a very enjoyable week here in July 2015. The cabin was comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped, with lovely views of the loch. The real draw for us was the cabin's central location, meaning it was easy to drive to both the east and west coasts. As a family of five a tourer could have been a bit cramped, so this was a brilliant solution. Janet was a very helpful host and was great with the children. Though the road to the cabins is quite bumpy (the kids loved it!), Janet was putting down gravel as we were leaving. The only slight downside for me was not having a shower (as I have long hair), but it wasn't really a problem. However, Janet said she is in the process of installing showers to all cabins. All-in-all we had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend.

“Have not felt so relaxed in a long time”
Reviewed 23 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights but we will definitely be returning and staying for longer! Have not felt so relaxed in a long time. Woke up both mornings to the most stunning views of the Loch. Amazing to sit on the porch with a cup of tea in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Janet is a wonderful host and went above and beyond in her efforts to ensure we had a brilliant holiday.

“Idyllic peaceful holiday”
Reviewed 4 March 2015 for a stay in July 2014

Spent two weeks July/Aug 2014 to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary with our two dogs. Janet was lovely - kindly allocated the higher lodge with the gated balcony to contain our two hounds. We spent most of our two weeks out and about - we loved Fort Augustus - saw Fort William - Cairngorms - Aviemore - Inverness - Skye - you name it in two weeks we saw it. Accomodation was clean and comfortable - loved sitting early morning /late evening looking out over the Loch - tea in the morning and wine of an evening just watching. Got to see the Pine Martens - not as bothered by midges as expected to be at the time of year. Fab peaceful holiday. Janet can we please have more sunshine next time :-)
