Stayed for 1 night to visit Crufts.
We can not fault the hotel from arriving to leaving. On checking out the receptionist kept our luggage safe in one of the rooms until we collected it late in the evening. Breakfast was very nice. Great location to the NEC but the taxi companies made a killing out of us as we had no transport to get around.

Nice location , warm welcome , accommodating . Down from Scotland at Crufts with our dog . Ideal location for a dog quiet and good areas to take dog onto . Room was clean spacious bathroom maybe a tad dated but clean and tidy . Bed was comfy unfortunately we had to leave early so we had to miss breakfast a small concession may have been in order ?? . But on the whole a grand place to lay your head , and would visit again if need arose .

Had a great stay. Lovely setting. Very comfortable clean room. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a buffet selection which was well cooked and they had gluten free bread for my toast! Just up the road from the NEC. Recommend

Due to leaving it too late to find another hotel in the area, we had to rebook here to be able to attend a trade show at the NEC. Since our first visit in 2015 there had been no change or improvements to the hotel, which was quite disappointing. Our room was warm and clean, however the toilet wasn't keen on flushing! We both had a terrible nights sleep due to the very hard and uncomfortable mattress which also had bad roll-together too. We felt that we couldn't spend another night like that so asked to be moved, the only other room was the Alexander Suite, which we accepted. Although very roomy, the rooms were very dated, in particular the bathroom. The duvet cover had a black mark on it and the carpet had stains. The hotel almost has a split personality, with the downstairs looking nice and luxurious, whilst upstairs the rooms are stuck in 1980. We ate in the restaurant both nights, the food was good, but again it seems a bit pretentious for the rest of the hotel. You have steak but have to order any extras to go with it! Breakfast was good and had improved from our previous visit, although the mass of cobwebs covering a plant as you enter the breakfast room doesn't make for a good first impression! All the staff were extremely helpful. Generally the hotel just needs a good amount of money spent on it to bring it back to a modern standard you would expect of a 3 star hotel.

We recently stayed at the hotel prior to a visit to NEC. If you want a hotel which is full of bright shiny chrome and ultra modern decor, then this is not for you. However, we really enjoyed our short stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and lovely and warm on a very cold evening!! Although we didn't have an evening meal, other guests said the food was good. Plenty of choice for breakfast, nicely cooked. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Good wi-fi, and easy secure parking. Easy access from motorway. We would certainly stay again in we were in the area.
