Having looked at pretty much every B&B and hotel website in Rochester I was beginning to despair. Everywhere I looked at seemed to have dreadful reviews. Cedar House hadn't been reviewed but looked pretty new so I decided to risk it. I was very impressed. The room and en-suite were immaculately clean and looked just as they do in the pictures. The bedding, towels, shower etc were high quality and the beverage tray was well stocked with individual coffee filters rather than instant.
The house is just outside town but you can walk to the centre in about 10 - 15 minutes which was great as we were able to go for dinner and drinks without having to worry about taxis etc and the area is quieter than if you were right in town.
We had the full english breakfast which was excellent and there was also an imaginative range of other options available in a very tasteful dining area which we had to ourselves. Alison and her Husband were both very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The only very minor criticism I would have was that for me the room was a bit too warm during the night and I couldn't really open the window because this made it too noisy but obviously this is down to personal taste and is probably better than being too cold.
Overall a fantastic stay and we would definitely recommend.
