“Peace and quiet and wonderful views, ideal for dogs.”
Reviewed 30 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

These cottages have been refurbished to a very high standard, they are very well equipped, comfortable, spotlessly clean and have lovely uninterrupted views to the Thames where ships are travelling back and forwards. Dogs have their own area close to the cottages and there are lovely walks without the car. The children's play area and leisure facilities are excellent. We have stayed here many times at different times of the year and Rochester is an excellent place to visit, Dickens world and the Chatham Dockyard are great for a day out with excellent restaurants and outlet shopping. Everyone is very helpful and friendly but if you want to be independent it is your choice. We would recommend Stable Cottages to any age group.

“Lovely family holiday ”
Reviewed 10 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We visited in May as a family and had a fabulous time, great location, very family friendly. Owned very welcoming and helpful. Very peaceful and tranquil. The children loved the games room, swimming pool and outside play area. Cottages were very clean and comfortable and had everything you need for your stay. Would love to stay again.

“Great discovery”
Reviewed 6 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Myself and family, including two grandchildren stayed here for 3 nights. I didn't book until week before, and Kirsty was very helpful. Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation, with loads of outdoor space for grandchildren to run around. We were lucky enough to have the pool to ourselves, and also made use of the games room which is well stocked. Visited Diggerland which is close by, and also the festival at Rochester where we had a lovely meal in the evening (Brettingtons). There's also a nice family pub fairly close to cottages with attractions for children. Enjoyed the complimentary wine and surprise ice-cream van visit! The only downside was a peculiar background noise which may have been a boiler? We noticed at night once the house was quiet and a couple of us did have trouble trying to blot it out, but we are light sleepers. We would definitely book again (and take ear plugs!). Thank you Debbie and Kirsty for making our stay so nice.

Hi Ann, thank you very much for your review. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay here and made use of the facilities. It was a shame we didn't get to see you at the festival. I am so sorry about the noise and really wish you had called and told us so we could have sorted it out for you. We heard it after you left and realised that your toilet was broken and it was causing the pump to run continuously!! We've fixed it now so if you ever return I promise you won't need to bring ear plugs :). Take care and hopefully see you again soon. Warm regards, Kirsty

“Really lovely”
Reviewed 12 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Just relaxing in one of the 4 bed Cottages thought I'd send the link to a friend as it's so lovely here. I was just trolling the reviews when I re read the ones written by some one saying how awful it was. I think they have got the wrong Stable Cottages. The owners are lovely, as are all the family we have met. They couldn't be more helpful or obliging. They owners certainly do like dogs and all the people here staying with dogs haven't found it unpleasant or difficult to keep them on a lead or controlled. Yes they ask that they don't run around off the lead and that they clean up after them, but who wouldn't with other guests and animals around. The Cottages are immaculately and clean well appointed, the games room, swimming pool and sauna are an added bonus with 3 boys to keep happy.

“Lovely stay”
Reviewed 12 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We have just returned from a lovely long weekend at Stable Cottages. Fantastic situation with great views, we thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet. We stayed in one of the 4 bedroom cottages, which was great for all 3 generations and our dog. The dog walking area was a good size for our 9 month old Labrador, she loved running around and playing ball.
Any problems we had were quickly dealt with.
