Good coffee, good cakes (lemon sponge and Victoria sponge in our case), well-behaved dogs welcomed. The two girls serving were hardly rushed off their feet, but were friendly and quick to bring us our food and drinks. The old well makes it a memorable visit, and the fairly dark, quiet interior made a nice respite from the glaring sunshine in which we'd been walking.

Pretty exterior, good location, but rest not so good. Milkshakes poured from a carton, cheapest of sausages and microwaved hot food. When asked for ketchup, got the reply “it will be on one of the tables, you’ll have to find it!”. We didn’t have salt on the table - needless to say I didn’t bother asking for help. Would not recommend.

Very friendly atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble and the bacon sandwiches are the best in Kent! I like the familiarality, they know who I am when I walk in. Thanks Sam and team!

We loved it here and had lunch here both days we were in Broadstairs. This is a family run cafe and beach shop. The owner was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us to make sure we had an enjoyable lunch.
We had baguettes and sandwiches - all delicious and freshly made for us with lots of fillings.
Very relaxed and enjoyable - loved it. Would go back again.

This must be the most unwelcoming venue in the town. 10am, Saturday, Feb 24, walked in to be ignored by charmless waiter, who continued to talk for a further five minutes to the only other couple in there. No 'good morning' or 'I'll be with you in a moment'. Thought we were invisible. He then disappeared into the kitchen, so we walked out, at which point he did acknowledge us with a sarcastic 'thank-you, goodbye'. Fortunately there are many other lovely establishments in the town which understand the concept of customer service.
