Just finishing a two night stay with my partner and have to say excellent value for money. Our initial room didn't have the heating working and at the second time of asking for it to be fixed they moved us, no major problem. One of my pints was slightly under filled because the barman thought the pint etching on the Stowford press glass meant that was the line of the pint, it wasn't but again no major issue. On the whole though very good. Wish we had discovered the restaurant on our first night as it was far superior to the poor Italian meal we had in Ramsgate.

We booked this hotel through Secret Escapes. The hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard retaining original features with light and sunny public spaces and large comfortable rooms. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The staff were under a lot of pressure at breakfast. Perhaps it might be an idea for condiments butter and milk to be accessible to guests (as currently with the toast) I would recommend this hotel, as it is very good value and the breakfast is extremely good.

Wow, what a lovely stay, room very clean and comfortable, (only con) no plug near mirror for hair dryer. Food smashing, although changed the type of veggie sausage on the Tuesday breakfast which was horrible much prefer Mondays veggie sausage!. The staff, so pleasant and welcoming and very knowledgeable. Explained menu as I have an onion intolerance and made sure I was completely happy with their "substitutions" they had recommended. Spa treatments excellent.

Room Tip: Lift only to first floor.

We booked via secret escapes. Receptionists very friendly. Room was basic but clean. We had the taster meal on the first night which was nice. The waitress and waiter were attentive. Breakfast was ok, coffee and tea arrived promptly , but the rest of the service, extremely slow. Once again staff were friendly, although never saw any supervisor at any time (if this is a training ground for students) The town centre is about a 10 minute walk, which is a plus.

Dear Denise B

Thank you for your review of our hotel, I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us.
I was sorry to hear that you found breakfast slow, unlike traditional hotels our hot food is cooked fresh to order, so occasionally there can be a short delay, but hopefully the quality of the food makes up for this.
We do not have a supervisor on a breakfast shift, our highly experienced front of house team are excellent at delivering the expected standards to our guests during this time -- we do not conduct training during this service time and as such a Duty Manager is always around should you need to speak to a member of the senior team.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to feedback to us, and we very much look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel again soon.
