As we were wandering in the streets of Montalcino, sometime in the afternoon, we stumbeled upon this beautifully hidden, semi-outdoor, gothic restaurant. The staff was immediately willing to help us out and direct us at the proper table. The whole atmosphere was really welcoming. It is a quiet and romantic place, pulsating with locals. The food choices are a unique experience. One of my favourite, the buffalo mozzarela with tomatos and crouton, as well as the pinci cheese and pepper. Simple dishes, yet delicious. If you are lucky and there happen to be street musicians in the area, the whole experience will enhance, since there is nothing better than some classical music to accompany your meal.
