After reading many of the reviews, we decided to check out Caffe Sant'Angelo ourselves as we had not been there over the many years we have been returning to Tuscany. We were pleasantly surprised to find this out of the way cafe well worth the effort to get there. So relaxed, the owner being very helpful and cheery. The insalata estivale (summer salad with manzo-beef) was beautifully assembled. So simple and so fresh. Thinly sliced seasoned beef, drenched in olive oil, and served with zucchini, carrot, radish and rocket. Outstanding. The tagliatelle with zucchini and pistachio pesto was also very tasty. Plates are very reasonably priced, a bottle of water is just 1 Euro and a macchiato is 1.50 Euro. Plenty more to choose from on their menu, so we will be back for sure.
