This is a little gem, on the road to Montalcino in a tiny town of Sant Angelo Scalo. The chef is utterly brilliant and uses local ingredients. The cheese mousse with pear and honey has to be tasted to be believed. It is the food of angels. The spaghetti with courgette and pistachio pesto was so good we travelled the next day to get it again. Everyone was absolutely thrilled with the delicious plates of food. The desserts were also outstanding including a cheesecake that was so delicate and light. We ate in the garden. The cafe inside is decorated very simply and the surroundings aren't spectacular, but if the food is this great who cares. Service was efficient and friendly. t is closed on Monday.
