A beautiful place with impeccable service and amenities. Staff are there to serve and pamper you above and beyond. The room was elegantly decorated, but at the same time felt homey and warm. The coffee and tea sets with all the free goodies and stocked refrigerator with soft drinks and water was quite useful, especially when you are away from everything. The closest town is down the hill via a dirt road. That is why it's a perfect place for people who really want peace and tranquility. It would be nice to have your own car, otherwise it gets even more pricy to use their car and driver. If driving to the hotel you would need special address from the hotel itself to put in your GPS, to find it easier. They have all sorts of activity but they all extra charges. Wifi is free. It is a pricy place but it's worth the experience.

The property and service is impeccable, as would be expected. Flawless attention to detail, and staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The restaurants were outstanding, the wine tasting classes were in depth, and the nature hike was picturesque.

Room was great. But everything is too much at "international" standard, clinical, cold and without soul. When we arrived, both restaurants were closed!. in the middle of august. Instead, mandatory buffet at 65 euros a piece providing average pizzas and pastas. then 35 euros more for below average house wine. What if I wanted to have a romantic dinner with my wife? You have rooom service then. oh great! Also, diffcult to reach by phone. So not worth the money.

It was my first time in Castiglioni Del Bosco, it was really an amazing experience. The hotel amenities are very comfortable, with a rustic luxury. Even tough the hotel was full we had a sensation of calm and tranquility in the whole environment. The service was something special. Minibar fully included in the rate is a differential that I consider nice. My bedroom was a suite, with living room, a huge bedroom and bathroom and even a small kitchen.
We had a trekking tour during the morning, which was perfect and the guest relations staff could adapt the service for what was need by me and my friends. Great wines in the restaurant and good options. I had dinner in the more relaxed restaurant and the food was delicious with a great service as well.
Unfortunately, I just had one night there, but certainly would like to return.

We stayed at rosewood CDB hotel for 5 nights in August.

After driving through a very picturesque settings of a golf course in the middle of the Tuscan hills, we reached this very special looking reception lodge. It immediately felt relaxing.

A member of guest relations showed us around the hotel; a Tuscan Village next to the ruins of a medieval castle set high on a Tuscan hill with an absolutely breathtaking views.

We were staying for 3 nights in a one bedroom suite and another 2 nights in a special room due to us booking late.

The suite had a large reception room with a separate WC, complimentary mini bar and additional dressing room, the bedroom was spacious with a large bed and side tables, very large walk in wardrobes and a well sized bathroom with large bath, shower cubicle, WC and bidet and large two sinks cabinet.
All very tastefully done in Tuscan countryside style in a very cohesive and consistent manner.

We were greeted by a bottle of CDB house wine, sweets, nuts and a card.

Really nice subtle bedlinen, bathrobes and Salvador Ferragamo toiletries.

Outside private garden was comfortable with garden furniture and good privacy. One small issue was lack of natural light in the suite making it feel a little dark and mostly not as inviting to spend time in during the day.

We spent a good amount of time by the infinity pool overlooking the town of Montalcino and the service by the pool was quick and attentive. Pool chairs were always setup, plenty of fresh towels and a good menu of drinks and food which were all swiftly served.

The food throughout the resort is to die for. Both restaurants, casual and formal have a extensive menu to satisfy anyone and the food is perfectly executed.

The two greatest highlights of our holiday were the two cooking classes we booked with Chef Roberto. Those were incredibly enjoyable and we loved every minute of it. Roberto was friendly and fun and had a real passion for his work and his creations. We made some amazing pizzas, pastas, cantucci, zabaglione and tiramisu. All of which we happily devoured. We were also given CDB cooking gowns and printed recipes to take home. All have already been successfully tried and tested at home.

The second highlight was the wine and cheese pairing including vineyard tour with Ugo Fabbri who is responsible for sales and marketing in the hotels Brunello vineyard. The tasting was so successful and the wine so good that we had left the tasting having bought 26 bottles of wine. Not to mention 3 tins of oil and 3 tins of honey. All produced by CDB at the source and tasting amazing.

We also had three treatments booked and overall the spa was good. There is some room for improvement in terms of the spa rooms and the treatments on offer but this did not detract from the experience.

Overall if you are looking for peace, quite and serenity this is the place to go. For 5 days we did not set a foot outside the resort but there are many more activities one could do and we can't wait to go back.
