“Lovely Villa!”
Reviewed 28 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We booked this villa through Destination Villas, Italy and it wasn't until I'd booked and paid the deposit that I found these previous two reviews and I freaked out a bit! How can one property have two such opposite views?! I arrived expecting disappointment but thankfully we loved it!

There are a few "quirks" and it could do with a bit of money spending on it to make it a really perfect place but it was good value and has great views plus we loved having our own pool to float around in all day!

The best things are the view, the pool (which was clean when we arrived and was cleaned whilst we were there too), the conservatory area and the indoor BBQ/dining area. All were utilised to the maximum! Oh, and the visiting wild boars who snuffle around the bushes and enjoyed our offerings of apple and kiwi fruit!

The only negatives for me were that the bathrooms were dated, the kitchen wasn't spotless and the BBQ was broken and dirty. However as soon as we reported this the agency were immediately helpful and sent cleaners out to clean the kitchen again and the BBQ so that we could at least use half the grill which was fine with us.

When there was a storm there were a few leaks in the conservatory and we had a power cut but again the agency sent someone out really quickly to investigate as we couldn't flip the switches back on as the electrics kept tripping. All sorted in the end.

Costa Paradiso is a purpose built "resort" but blends well into the mountains and has a good selection of shops and restaurants, although its quite hilly so we didn't eat out as didn't fancy the walk home after a couple of wines but we stayed here to self cater so this suited us perfectly. There are beaches and a fitness centre too if you want to leave the pool!

I would happily stay here again as a little retreat from the stresses of every day life and feel that for someone looking for the benefit of a private pool and lovely views without spending a fortune this would suit you perfectly.

Finally, we also got our deposit back with no issues which was something else I was concerned over!

“The house is not worth the money and trouble ... !”

Poor communication
2 minutes briefing upon arrival at the house
Electric cooker without function
No sheets, pillowcases or towels (we had to buy)
Mold in the corners
No TV connection
Mold in the freezer
No broom (we had to buy)
Various lamps and sockets broken
Moldy and damaged sunbeds
Unstable garden chairs
Filthy pool
Dirty outside area
Dried plants

In my entire life I've never had to write a bad review, now I have to.
The Main Reason:
Non-refundable € 195 deposit, due to the alleged lack of garden chairs.
These chairs we put aside because they were unstable and shaky. There is a picture where you see the chairs, the day we left.
First, all the chairs were missing.
Then they had the chairs found and apologized!
The deposit would be fully refunded.
Two days later, again missing 4 chairs ...
We were 3 guests ...;) What should we have done with 4 chairs?
The management said we would get our money, even if chairs are missing.
We are now waiting for over a month.
Our patience is at an end.

Caution !!

Check out the pictures !!!

Beware of your money !!!!
