We have stayed at Hotel Daphne before but this time we were let down somewhat. There is meant to be WiFi in the rooms but the room we were in had no signal whatsoever unless we sat at the front door next to the bathroom door or outside the room on the stairs. As soon as one walked 2 meters into the room, the signal dropped completely. It seemed our landlady did not have much of an appetite to have the problem rectified. We were offered to move to another room on day two but that did not materialise. Finally, towards the end of our stay with only two more days left, our landlady was finally going to move us but by then we had had enough of the whole situation and did not feel like an upheaval such a short time left of our stay, so we remained in our room.
Our room was also not cleaned daily and more particularly the waste bins, especially the bathroom bin, were not emptied. On the third day of our stay, we finally put our waste outside our front door when we left for the beach 9am. We were out the whole day and when we returned at 4:30pm our landlady room was only then replacing the bin bags in our room. It appeared to us that the cleaning lady may have absconded?
Otherwise, Hotel Daphne is well situated right in the center of Faliraki and is clean and comfortable. Maria is a lovely lady to chat to.
Our advice is that if WiFi connectivity is important to you, avoid room 21 or check whether the WiFi has been rectified.
