Our recent break in Montreuil was lovely! A really cosy and cute wee house in a great location. We loved the terrace and the weather was so warm we were disappointed not to light the wood stove. The upper floor bedroom was really comfortable and charming with the circular windows. The house was well equipped too, and the local restaurants were excellent.

“Absolutely perfect”

Could not fault this wonderful apartment. It had everything we could have hoped for and a little courtyard garden which is visited every day by lots of birds. It is definitely a "home" rather than a sterile "rental" and has lots of little things you can use to make your stay easier (like herbs when you cook). The booking arrangements and liaison with the owner were excellent and we are definitely going to visit again. The area has much to offer and we would recommend it highly.

“A little Piece of Heaven”

From start to finish, dealing with Maureen was an absolute pleasure. We spent three nights at this delightfully cosy, charming, historic and surprisingly peaceful cottage, and totally fell in love with it. Our nine year-old daughter loved her sweetly decorated bedroom, and was envious of our enormous attic room; we all soon got used to clambering up and down the ricketty stairs. The tiny kitchen was more than adequate for our needs, and the outside space was a delightful spot to sit and sup a chilled bottle of fizz, or two. Just a short stride up into the beautiful town of Montreuil, and ideally located for exploring the rest of the countryside, and getting to the supermarket.

Would love to return, will definitely recommend, and would like to thank you Maureen for sharing your little piece of heaven with us x

“A simpy charming cottage and quite beautiful town”

What a wonderful cottage and town that is - got back yesterday from one of the most restful and pleasant breaks I can remember. A delightful house, all the facilities you could wish for, lovely furniture, a helpful owner, a stunning town with wonderful restaurants, perfect ramparts for a morning run or walk and a 20 minute drive to the beach. We'll be back.

Oh, there's a commode available for those with that sort of predilection.

“Character and charm in Montreuil”

We spent 5 days here on a cycling break in the region. A lovely house with everything you need - including a full oven (I get fed up with the number of places that just have a hot plate and a microwave). Lovely bottle of wine to greet us to and a well stocked store cupboard so you don't need to buy things like loo rolls, bin bags and olive oil (if you finish something you are asked to replace it which is a good way of doing things). Lovely bathroom with a great bath and lots of hot water. Attic bedroom full of charm. Lovely courtyard garden to sit and relax in. WIFI very reliable. Maureen the owner very easy to deal with and responsive. House is just outside the ramparts and a 5 minute stroll to the bars and restaurant. The area is great for walking and cycling and a perfect place for a mini break.
