Overall, Ferringhi Inn is good for its price. The bad thing about it is the beach. It is used for water sports only. You cant even walk on it. The water sport company/guys will be yelling at you all the time asking you to leave "their" beach. Glasses all over the beach which could be dangerous.

This is a place I will remember forever.. The place, the beach, the garden - and the staff!

We booked four days from the beginning and stayed for almost two weeks! The whole family loved it.

The building with the two rooms seemed newly built and were spotlessly clean. The room was basic, but pleasant, very functional and the set of TV and DVD were new. Everything was very well kept and seemed cosy. In front of the room was a small veranda with chairs and table, were we sat,in the evenings, watching the garden, the sea and the restaurant when the children were asleep. Sometimes the bar and restaurant were crowded and a real party and some days it was really quiet and calm. Both was nice!

It is just a short walk to other great restaurants, night market, buses to Georgetown and still the place is on the beach itself. We had a morning swim everyday, just 10 steps from our room to the ocean..

It was not just the neat and wellkept garden, the cosy room or the nice restaurant were you could choose from sitting in the garden or on the beach, but the place itself! The atmosphere breathed friendlyness and we felt so welcome!

The staff really made us feel well, made us relaxed, made us feel home and had a welcoming attitude that felt genuine. Especially the fantastic Meryam! Meryam was always working.. She was tending the bar, cleaning the rooms, sweeping the ground in the garden, talking to guests with a constant smile, listened interrested when we talked and told us about Malaysia, Penang and small bits about herself. She was really an amiable and sweet person who made our stay so special! She was sweet to the children, sweet to us and seemed to have a true interrest in the guests. The other staff members were also fantastically friendly, helpful and never seemed far from smiling! When we finally left they all followed us to the taxi and stood waving the car.. Our little boy cried! (And we all felt sad..)

Our little boy (10 months) got very ill during our stay and we had all the help we could need when calling doctors, taxis and other practical details you need. Invaluable when you are in a foreign country..

We almost never go back to places that we already visited. It is a big world with lots of places to visit. But we will go back to D'Beach (Ferringhi Inn by the Beach)! Soon..
