We were staying at the Hard Rock hotel and decided to give this restaurant a go. We were not disappointed. Curry was very good and naan breads fantastic. Good price and lots of choices.

Travelling with a kid who is a fussy eater can be really frustrating... especially when you love eating local food. My eldest and I were able to order delicious curries and roti, while placating my fussy seven year old with western food. I wouldn't choose to eat the western food here myself though -- it doesn't seem all that appetising to me, but the kid was satisfied. We loved the indian food here and ended up eating here three times. The staff were really attentive, sweet and helpful and everything was well priced.

We visited both Enca opposite Hard Rock Hotel and can't fault the food , good choices of local .. Indian...chinese & western .... We tried local in the bigger restaurant it was so tasty and so cheap ... in the smaller cafe/restaurant we tried the kebabs , these are nothing like at home in u.k. ... again food was so tasty the staff were helpful in advising which to try .. We had a chicken kebab with rice a mixed kebab with roti a bottle of red wine which cost us 160RM = £32 Well with the money.. . If you are staying in Bath Feringghi you should at least try these establishments

My family had lunch here in June 2017.

Location
========
+ The cafe is conveniently located diagonally opposite the Hard Rock Hotel.
+ It is within a 15-min, 900m walk from Holiday Inn.

Layout and Ambience
===================
+ Plenty of fans to keep the temperature down
+ Fairly spacious with all areas under shelter
+ Few flies, despite this being a perennial problem at Penang's outdoor food establishments
+ Place is simple without fancy decor
+ Clean toilet

- Not air-conditioned, an issue with the restaurant right next to the road. Mitigated by the numerous fans.

Food
====
+ Offers a very wide variety of Western, Italian, Arabian Grill, Chinese, Indian and Malay food.
+ Understands the pizza chef can whip up a mean pizza or naan bread.
+ There's a Price menu + Photo book of (almost all) dishes. Most dishes range from RM 11 to RM 20. We ordered the following:

1. Fried Rice with Fried Egg + Chicken/Beef Satay (RM 15.90)
2. Chicken Chop with fries and cucumber (RM 12.72)
3. Fish in spicy Indian Vindaloo sauce (RM 16.96. 1-pax-portion)
4. Plain Pilau Rice (RM 3.18. 1-pax-portion)
5. Fresh Lemon + Honey (RM 5.30)

- 6% GST tax applies
+ No service charges

- Prices are slightly higher than other non-airconditioned food establishments

+ Food portion was big by Asian standards. The fried rice with satay came with 10 satay sticks.
+ Food quality was great. The chicken chop was perfectly marinated and cooked, while the Vindaloo fish was authentically spicy enough. The satay was a little tough though.

Service
=======
Service was crisp and food was served within 15 min.

Overall, a simple-decor place with tasty and reasonably priced international dishes.
