I first visited the Ferringhi Grill over twenty years ago. The specialties then were the beef rib and the crepes suzette. Twenty years later, the environment has changed, but the food is better than ever. The beef rib is now wagyu, and quite sublime, but the crepes are still as theatrical as I remembered. The service is, as you would expect from one of the most established Shangri-La hotels - exemplary. The tropical sunset, viewed through the expansive window, was an added bonus. I can thoroughly recommend the Ferringhi Grill to all food lovers.

I was wearing a traditional Scottish kilt, the manager of the Resturant was exceptionally insulting. Telling me national dress is not welcome in his Resturant, he offered to call security and even the police, I said can I film him making the statement as its a huge insult ( I never filmed him ) As a you tuber with hundreds of thousands of followers I filmed just me I feal so Low thank you manager of the Resturant for destroying our 40 wedding anniversary,

The director of FB was much nicer and gave us a table by the pool.

I feel so depressed as a brand like Shangri-La you don't need a manager like you have in your Resturant, you have I insulted not just me but our nation 😥😥

My wife and I had the prime rib as it was Friday night and prime rib night. We were there for our anniversary and totally enjoyed the evening. The atmosphere is elegant and quiet. Quiet is a rarity among Penang restaurants. The view was over a garden and the Andaman Sea. Sunset was gorgeous. The service was highly attentive. But the best part… was the prime rib! I had the bone in king cut and my wife had the queen cut. It was the best prepared and best tasting piece of beef I have had over our 7 years living in Penang. The ceasar salad is plenty big enough to share and is prepared at your table. It was a wonderful evening.

Me and my wife were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. On our week’s vacation at the Shangri la Penang.
It was amazing experience, we were treated like VIP’s the staff are so helpful and the food is up there with the best I’ve tasted.
The famous tomato soup is prepared in front of you, Delicious.
Must try the Wagu beef.
A must visit when in town.

We were at Feringgi Grill for dinner. The food was tasty and well presented. The meal is not only delicious but also made with so much care. You’ve managed to create a perfect balance of flavours and textures in each course. It’s a true culinary delight.

Service was top-notch too-shoutout to Sukkor, Sky, Rosidi and Jass for making our night extra special. They really know their stuff and were super friendly.

In Short, this place is rocks. Great food, awesome vibes, and even better service. Can’t wait to go back!
