3rd cave tour of the day and another good tour.

Tour guide paced the tour well and was well spoken for the environment.

This is a smaller Cave than Ruakuri Cave and dry so no glow worms. Our guide was an older lady who was very knowledgeable. We start by a short walk through native bush which even as a Kiwi I learnt something new about different trees. The Cave is very nice with lots of stalactites & stalagmites that have been named by what they look like. Facilitating and an enjoyable tour.

the cave was pretty but the guide didn't even know the names of the formations we asked about. Really disappointing.

This is an exceptional cave with impressive stalactites and stalagmites of all sizes left and right and everywhere. There are some cool lighting effects from the guide. He even did some amazing singing in the cathedral (without echo). As in all caves the guides are very informative. The tour is around 45 minutes and good shoes and a jacket are a good idea. From there it is a easy drive to the Ruakuri cave.
