“Totally wonderful!!!”
Reviewed 12 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

Wonderful, superb, excellent, there aren't enough words to describe how lovely this place is!!! Cosy, modern yet traditional Montgomery's Coach House is everything you could want!! Beautifully renovated to a very high standard, the bedrooms especially impress, super king size beds that are so comfortable you'll never want to get up! Underfloor heating, crisp white bedding, TVs in each room, comfortable lounge with log burner, totally enclosed driveway and garden for the dogs, this accommodation could not be more perfect. Highly, highly recommend. The Boat Inn literally a minutes walk away where you can get the most amazing food for reasonable prices! We loved this property and can't wait to return. Thank you Steve and Alison for a wonderful stay.

Wow Helen D, it looks like you enjoyed staying in our Coach House! Very many thanks for your kind words and recommendation to future guests to book with us. We are fortunate indeed to have the space in the bedrooms for super king size beds and full size wardrobes and chest of draws - far better than having to unpack onto a chair or hang everything on the back of the door like some places we have stayed at!
As we only have the Brecon Beacon National Park between us, and you are about an hour away, please do pop up and stay with us again when you can. Kind regards.

“Ideal relaxing getaway”
Reviewed 21 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

We had a lovely few days in the cottage relaxing and enjoying the beautiful countryside. The cottage is finished to a very high standard. The bedrooms are large and feel luxurious. Downstairs is very homely and warm - will have to come back in winter so we can use the log burner. The area was good for exploring with the dog, We liked the walks at the Begwins and up Pen y fan as well as walks from the doorstep. The owners were very welcoming.

I am so glad, David F, that you found the Coach House 'homely and warm' especially given that we had the remains of Hurricane Ophelia turn up for one of the days of your stay; we can take the credit for fitting the oak framed double glazing but the Edwardians get the thumbs up for the thick walls!
We are blessed with the fantastic countryside around us and the large numbers of lovely walks on our doorstep - there are plenty left for you to have a go at so please do come back when you are next able. Kind regards.

An outstanding cottage in a lovely location; quiet but lots to do.

Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean and fresh with huge comfy beds and a brilliant shower. A welcome pack of provisions is supplied and there's a pub and little garage shop just a couple of minutes away. We also recommend the Nepalese/ Thai takeaway at the end of the road.

The cottage itself is very private and has great wifi, a decent size TV and so many extra touches such as a clothes airer, a night light for the landing and small sewing kit, not to mention a really well equipped kitchen and ample private parking.

The owners are really friendly and helpful and we had a restful and lovely holiday.

Just book!!

LadyChatterbox, great username and great review!
Very many thanks for taking the time to let others know just how much you enjoyed staying with us and some of the things any future guests can expect; that was kind of you. We work on the premise that if we can provide a few extra touches on top of the more obligatory 'bigger' stuff then our guests need only concentrate on enjoying themselves.....
If we did our bit to help the two of you have a 'restful and lovely' holiday then we are more than happy. Best wishes.

“'Superb' is how I would describe this property!!”

Everything about this property is 'superb'. It met all our expectations and some we hadn't even thought of!! I endorse wholeheartedly other recent reviewers' comments regarding the quality of restoration, decoration, equipment and outdoor facilities. It is, as you said, a home-from-home, but with the tranquility and beauty of Herefordshire thrown in for good measure.
We loved our stay in Montgomery's Coach House and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
Thank you, Steve and Alison, for being so welcoming and for providing your guests with such a wonderful place to stay. We're looking forward to our next stay with you in November.

How kind, franleyshon, for thinking us superb! We like to think we did our bit with what we offer to our guests in our coach house but Herefordshire and the lovely Welsh Borders certainly does the rest.
We look forward to seeing you both in November, we are sure you will be just as comfortable in our 'Agent's Office' Bed and Breakfast room.
Kind regards.
