My husband and I extremely enjoyed Badia
The breakfast was to die for. The room was beautiful. The restaurant on the grounds was extremely accommodating to my diet. My husband and I also took a cooking class which was the best class and food I've ever tasted

My husband and I came across this vineyard in the Chianti Classico region and we discovered a real gem! This old monastery has been converted to a small Inn. There is a superb restaurant and the grounds are gorgeous in a beautifully forested estate. Peaceful with a great view. We had a great meal there and will go back to stay next time we are in the area. The wines are very nice also!

We recently stayed at this historic Abbey in a beautiful setting. Set in a vineyard with landscaped grounds this converted Abbey in the Tuscan hills was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Our rooms upstairs overlooking the beautifully manicured gardens were very clean and very comfortable. In the large hall downstairs were guest lounges covered with murals, and through the stone flagged courtyard was the chapel. The hospitality was faultless, an enormous breakfast with freshly baked breads, tarts and pastries using produce sourced from the garden was delicious and filling. The restaurant in the grounds served both a la carte as well as set degustation menu both of which were excellent and all served with their own organic wines produced on the estate. I was fortunate to attend a cooking class in their kitchen after which we had lunch again served with their own wines and organic olive oil.
The stone floors, passage ways, corridors and large rooms, the beautiful gardens and a swimming pool in the garden as well as the sumptious food all made it a very magical and memorable stay

Room Tip: Rooms upstairs overlooking the gardens

Badia a Coltibuono is a peaceful historic Abbey in the Chianti wine region. The Abbey has been producing fine wines for over 1000 years and offers a personal wine cellar tour and tasting I recommend. As a guest you may enjoy the great halls grounds and gardens. Wonderful clean rooms overlooking the formal gardens. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Great multi lingual staff.

Room Tip: All rooms are great
