“Perfect Base to explore Chianti”

We enjoyed Borgo Towers immensely. As a set of 2 couples, the two bedroom 2 bath accommodations provided all needed to appreciate our week stay. The information Jan-Y provided made it easy to make informed choices on side-trips and must-do's.
The charming village of Gaiole provided several dining options and a market to fill in the blanks(don't touch the produce!;)
Views of surrounding hills and valleys are gorgeous from this hillside spot. Do note, the "walks" are fairly steep-a fabulous work out !
Would definitely recommend !!!

Thank you ever so much. We are happy you also liked allt the information we sent you when you booked our apartment. Sometimes we are afraid we send to much information to our guests, but planning a holiday is almost half of the fun.

Our apartment is more like a home than an ordinary rental apartment, We have lived in it 8 months a year in 5 years. So we are very happy you also liked our apartment

“The Highlight of our European Trip”
Reviewed 16 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed here from 10th August to 22nd August.
The most encouraging thing was that the owners Mr and Mrs Swenson were most helpful before we arrived and provided us with numerous email with information about the rental and the district beforehand.
The unit comprises 3 levels with the main living area on the top floor and commanding a magnificient view over Gaioli and the surrounding areas.
Within a 5 minute walk to the town centre it is very central.
Comprises a Bedroom on lower floor a further bedroom on the 2nd floor and main area at the top.
Stairs are quite steep but not a real problem.
For our 10 days I would have to say this accommodation was ideal for our needs.
The unit is fully contained so you need nothing except your daily needs.
There is a carpark and a well marked out area for this unit.
We loved our times sitting and taking in the views, listening to the sounds and enjoying a wine in the late evening.
The price for our 10 day stay we found was very reasonable.
Gaioli has many attractions in the immediate area and are all easy to get to.
If there was one downside it was the steep rise to the Units. We walked it a couple of times but after that decided to take the car.

“Two double rooms and two bathrooms - perfect!”

After considerable searching around Tuscany for a suitable apartment for a one week stay we happened across Borgo Tower.

The discovery I will attribute to our friends who shared the apartment with us, he attributes the shortening of the search to his wife who said "two bathrooms will make the week go much smoother".

All the bookings and communication was handle by my friends so I will leave it to them to comment, except to say that they told me "easy peasy lemon squezzy"

We drove from Bologna to Gaiole in Chianti using a Satnav, we got right to the front door so it is easy to find. After a quick unload and refresh we walked down into the village for a voyage of discovery. It is a really pleasant village, all the eateries, cafes, bars etc are fantastic, the people are really welcoming and the food and drink they are serving top class - Nothing is a problem.

The people who own the apartment spend a lot of time each year in the region and have compiled a folder of the whole Chianti region which we hammered for clues, tips and guides of places to go, things to see, food to eat.

With this attention to detail you would be very correct in assuming the apartment is in good order, very homely and relaxing with each room having plenty of area to spread out and relax. Plenty of the things you need for a weeks stay are there in the kitchen etc

The views across the valley are outstanding and one can sit and eat their breakfast/lunch/dinner or sip some wine while taking in this view.

I think I will just summarise and say for the price we paid we thought it was excellent value and a very good deal.

We agree with you. It is important when you are more than 4 people with 2 bathrooms. This was a "must" for us when we bought the apartment.

It seems to us that you love Gaiole and our apartment as much as we do. When we bought the apartment Januari 2008 our daughter and her Italian husband (they live in Italy- too cold in Sweden our daughter says ) helped us to find the very best apartment in the very best village.
That is "Borgo Tower" (our apartment) and Gaiole (the village/small town)
