“Couldn't have been better”
Reviewed 19 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The photo showing the view is exactly what it is like. There were three of us, my husband and a friend of ours. Perfect for 3 but would be equally good for two couples or a couple with two kids. We had a car but only needed it for out of town trips, the town, restaurants and a supermarket are within easy walking distance. Modica is the pick of the Baroque towns in the South East, a fantastic town centre but not too touristy like Ragusa, Noto or Syracuse. The only problem really is the nightly decision on where to eat. The apartment has everything you need to self-cater but we only did that for breakfast. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we came back to Modica.

“Fabulous location, stunning views and equiped with everything you didn't have space to pack”
Reviewed 27 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

A fascinating place to stay. Modica is a really interesting old town and this apartment is right in the heart of it. We could have spent all of our stay on the terrace admiring the view. It was simply stunning by day and at night time it was spectacular.
The flat is tastfully furnished with a quirky but stylish mix of modern and traditional items. There is everything you could possibly want and had forgotten to pack such as binoculars, brolly, sun hats, nail clippers as well as the usual washing machine, hairdrier etc.
Arriving after the shops had shut it was a nice surprise to find the pantry stocked with enough basics to make an evening meal.
The bed in the front room was very comfortable, and sleeping with the window open, we enjoyed waking to the bell ringing competition between the churches at 8am each morning. The back bedroom only has a high level window so lacks a view.
The location is excellent. It was only a few yards to the next street where we had no problem finding a parking spot. Below the apartment a maze of narrow alleys and steps take you quickly into the heart of town with an excellent choice of restaurants.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to all our friends.

“Spectacular- We are speechless at the hospitality we received”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Me and my husband stayed at this property for 5 nights and I must say that we would have gladly stayed for another 10 nights if we didn't have to come back home. We were welcomed into the apartment by Peppe who is the manager of the property. He was nothing short of an angel. There was a big platter of butter and chocolate cookies with fine wine awaiting us, all complimentary to enjoy. Peppe and his wife live just down the road from this property and were always, ALWAYS available for anything we needed. Peppe came over one evening with freshly made chilled lemon granitas prepared by his wife and we enjoyed them together on the balcony with the spectacular view and fantastic conversations. The property itself is done extremely tastefully by the owner and is in pristine condition absolutely neat and clean with fresh linen and towels. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and has its own charm both at night when the city is lite up and in the day when the sun is shining bright. The kitchen was well equipped with coffee, sugar, tea and all the amenities one would need. Very thoughtfully stocked. We had planned on going to Ragusa but fell in love with Modica and more so with this property that we spent all our time in Modica itself. If you are considering to stay at this property, do not even think once , just BOOK IT!!! Really I promise you will not be disappointed. Since I am a pastry chef, I asked Peppe if I could get any baking experience in Modica so he drove me to around and introduced me to some very wonderful people with whom I hope to work in the future. A+++ for initiative to Peppe. As for the owner, we didn't meet her but spoke to her over the phone, she has done a brilliant job with the property in every way. Thank You for making our stay so wonderful.
