We booked this B&B based on photos and the price. We had a room for 4. Children slept “upstairs”.
It wasn’t excellent, it wasn’t bad but somewhere in between.
The host was friendly and booked a nice trattoria the first night.
He brought us café the next morning and that was also the last time. The breakfast is Italian style but after a day you bring your own meat, cheese and Nutella. :-(
In Italy a lot of places don’t understand the difference between having WIFI or having a stable working internet connection. I hope it will getting better some day.
The area was as good as on the pictures but total satisfaction is in the details and that’s what we’ve missed.

We stayed at Relais Casabella for a month while looking for a permanent home in Martina Franca. The hotel has so much charm and character, but is also very clean and updated with many modern conveniences (rare in the part of Puglia). Ruggiero and Angelica are the sweet owners who live on the property. They will tell you to knock on their door if you need anything during your stay. Honestly, they were so kind that we felt like their grandchildren while we were there. One thing to consider, neither of them speak English. My wife and I speak decent Italian so we were fine, but if you don't I recommend using google translate on your phone. Breakfast is a typical Italian breakfast with pastries, jams, breads, caffe, fruits, yogurt and absolutely no, no eggs or meat. As others have wrote, you definitely need a car to travel the area around Martina Franca. When arriving to the hotel for the first time, note that Relais Casabella's location isn't correct on many GPS maps. For this reason, the owners prefer to meet you at the local "ENI" gas station on
via Taranto" and then follow them to the property.

We stayed at Relais Casabella for 5 nights in a two bedroom suite with a large bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were kept very clean. Breakfast is a typical Italian breakfast and was plenty for us. Owners Ruggiero and Angelica are very friendly but be sure to have google translate if you don't speak any Italian. We had cappuccino and espresso each morning; just be sure to ask Angelica if you prefer that. There are tables on the terrace overlooking the yard to enjoy a glass of wine. We highly recommend a car if you want to visit in the town of Martina Franca. It is only a 5-10 minute drive but the road is not great for pedestrians to walk to town. GPS is a must in order to locate Relais Casabella. After visiting busy towns, it is very pleasant to return to the quiet beautiful grounds of Relais Casabella.
