Returning from Pompei we decided to have a late lunch @ Don Vincenzo. Even after 2 PM we had to wait for almost half an hour, being offered a glas of white wine though...
The ‚restaurant‘ is very small (capacity inside probably around 10 (ten) people) outside the ‚terrace‘ is actually 7 or 8 small tables under a party tent of 3x3 meters!
Vincenzo and a waitress run the service and are very friendly where I must say that especially Vincenzo is outstandingly sympathetic!
As far as the food is concerned it is good but definitely not the 2nd or 3rd best of Napoli!!! But as it is quite inexpensive, the price/performance ratio is of course very good. So it depends what you want, if your looking for the ‚bang for a buck‘ this is probably a top 10 place in Napoli to go to and wait to get a table.... If you look for really high end food, there are much better places in Napoli. Hope this helps....

My partner is Italian, I’m Irish and this pizza was great. Very tasty. We got our order for takeaway as we’ve a little baby.

The service was incredibly slow, waited 40mins for our two pizzas. After an hour of opening they had ran out of a lot of items. Which was disappointing. Because they were too busy they lost out as we were trying to get some starters too but they were out of them and too busy to cater fully to us. Unfortunate, as the pizza I got was very tasty - not the usual style I would go for as it’s Napoli style, but it was great otherwise they would have got 5 stars if it was a faster service, they could cater to us, and hadn’t ran out of items.

While the decor is funky, service is friendly. The pizza options are extensive, and our pizzas very tasty.

Wine choice is extremely limited but the red wine was drinkable (especially with the pizza, not so much by itself).

Total came to €33.50 for two people.

Warm welcome on wandering in without a booking, we were quickly served cool beers and perfectly cooked pizza. Baked evenly to a crisp edge and perfect balance of tomato and mozzarella the options for anything else on top were plentiful but most opt for meat or olives that night. We had no room for a starter but the table next to us had a filled dough ball which was massive so if in doubt suggest sharing a starter.
