Description: OPENING HOURS MONDAY-SATURDAY = 12:00-14:30 / 19:30-21:00 I'm an Italian-American who has taught in Italy twice, and my favorite place to eat while I'm there is Trattoria da Ezio in Macerata, a small Reinaissance town in the Marche. The restaurant is a little mon-and-pop storefront, and the menu varies depending on what looks best at the market-beef , veal, pork, . I doubt the restaurant even has a freezer!!Every Christmas eve they feed free meals to whomever shows up -they don't turn anyone away.

If it was, I don't want to be right. Grown adults literally shed tears during this absolutely epic meal. Frankly it made it my top 5 list of all time favorite meals! The Gnocchi was out of this world, the raviolis with pesto was one incredible bite after another.
Mirella is a true love; giving as much to her community as she does to her craft. Tiny off the beaten track type of place....just the way I like it.

Went here with a group of twelve food professionals from Los Angeles and Europe and had an incredible experience. Mirella is unique and a true gem and will not cut corners with her pasta craft. Every two days, she makes another batch of pasta using 100eggs and 40lbs of flour along with their personal olive oil. Her gnocchi were unlike any elsewhere - silky and smooth with a beautiful goose ragu. The food is traditional, old school Marcheggian - and Maceratan. It's grandma's Italian. The place is small, authentic, unfussy and without a hint of pretense or attitude. This is a purist's paradise.

Don't visit this town without going here.

This restaurant is a unique gem.
It is run by an olderly couple and their son. The mother being in the kitchen, the father at the bar and the son serving the plates.
The atmosphere is very basic and old-style : tl lights, ancient wall decorations.

The owners are very friendly, especcially for kids. Our daughter was offered dessert and a lot of attention.

The kitchen is excellent and very cheap. Delicious home-made pasta at practically give-away prices. Here was our cheapest lunch of our vacation.
The restaurant is stuffed with Italians, always a good sign,

We'll stop by again when we're next time in Macerata

Home cooking feeling and taste. Everything is fresh at a reasonable price. Order the tagliatelli with duck sauce! Just like mama makes!

Its delicious home and hand-made pasta and amazing olive oil (which we happily ate with bread while waiting) would already be good enough reasons to stop at this simple looking, really authentic (in the Italian, not hipster sense of the word) trattoria. Yet there is more. The meat dishes (polpette, grigliata) are also amazing and so are the vegetables. Absolutely loved this place where you can feel that hard work and patience matter when creating a lovely meal. The tiramisu is also a must... Have a chat with the guys serving about how they make things: they will be happy to tell you. We did and it was so nice to feel the passion without show off (a very refreshing and unusual experience for a milanese ;-)
