Rachele is one of the main reasons why our weekend in Sorrento was so incredible.
She truly is one of the kindest people I have ever met. From the moment you walk in she warmly greets you and takes time to sit with you to help you plan your trips. She gave us many helpful guidebooks, maps, and info on public transport. With her help, we planned a day trip to Positano and also to Capri.
I think that piano di Sorrento is the perfect place to stay, because from there it is very easy to get to Amalfi, Positano, Capri, etc. You get the benefits of staying in Sorrento without having to deal with the INSANE crowds and touristy aspects.
Each morning, Rachele prepares a wonderful breakfast of Italian classics: cappcino, juice, and either homemade chocolate croissants (DELICIOUS) or else Canolis from a local bakery (also incredibly delicious).
Knowing Rachele comes in handy. She recommends incredible restaurants that are both delicious and fairly priced, and, dropping her name can get you certain discounts. For example, in Capri, showing a card she gave us got us a discount on our island boat tour.
She maintains a beautiful home and welcomes you warmly, making you feel like a part of her family. We only stayed for two nights but even in that short time she made a memorable impact on our, and when I think back to Italy, I will think back to her chocolate croissants and the beautiful view from our bedroom window.
To make your time in Sorrento truly unforgettable, stay with Rachele!
