So much more to excavate here! The palace has been exposed for a long time but current works are uncovering a huge city that surrounds the palace

If you like history it is a wonderful place to visit and spend a few hours. It could have a few more s sign \ info. Also I think it was a little pricy when there is more than 2 ppl

It is a wonderful visit. You MUST (not should, must) visit this place (or another one) ALONG WITH Knossos palace. Knossos palace is great but it is too restored and in Malia Palace you can get the real thing. How ruins are now and have an idea (without a crowd) of how was a Palace. Be aware that there is very little information available on the site, so you should do your own research (plans, information) or hire a guide. Otherwise you may just find yourself wandering around some rocks. Views are very nice as well

On the way back to our hotel we stopped off at the Palace as it looked interesting.
We were disappointed as it never had any information to let you know what you were looking at.
They never even give you a leaflet to help visitors so if you go I would take a guide book!

Also we paid 6 euro each and then noticed on the window after you go through, if your over 65 years show your passport and it will be less entrance fee, but the lady on the desk never even mentioned this to my husband although it wasn't the money because it all goes to help the upkeep of the Palace.

We only stayed there about 15 minutes and wouldn't recommend unless you know what your looking at!

We stopped here on the way back from a day out and pleased we did. We had visited Knossos the previous day and had been a little disappointed with there. We were impressed with the Malia Minoan Palace, there aren't as many visitors and you can wander round at your own pace. It's much bigger than I imagined and it worth a visit.
