“Exquisitely furnished, outstanding comfort, personal attention to every detail.”
Reviewed 26 November 2011 for a stay in November 2011

As an English speaking visitor to France, the guide book which greeted us at Maison Olive, was our first very welcome surprise. Researched, written and produced by our hosts, this guide book insured that not a single minute would be wasted and not a single sight missed during our visit to Provence. Every need had been catered for. We always judge accommodation by the comfort of the bed, the linen and the pillows. Maison Olive surpassed any accommodation we have every stayed in. Crisp, white cotton linen, soft feather pillows, down duvets, and superb mattresses ensured a good nights sleep. A kitchen boasting every item (including recipe books) that even a professional chef would love - a beautiful living area overlooking a meadow filled with Oak and Olive trees was a memory we will always hold close to our hearts. Easy parking was an added bonus to our week long visit. We have already booked another week for 2012 and will make this our annual destination for many more years to come. Unbelievable attention to detail. just stunning.

“Idyllic Provence”
Reviewed 31 August 2011 for a stay in August 2011

We had the most fantastic two weeks in Maison Blanc and Olive. The
houses were ideally located within a 5 minute walk into Menerbes which is a very pretty village. The house has the most wonderful gardens and outside areas. We had lunch most days under the oak tree at the wooden table, just what one dreams about when going on holiday to Provence.

Both homes were very comfortable and had a wonderful lived in homely feel and very well equipped.

“Wonderful venue for exploring Provence”
Reviewed 26 July 2011 for a stay in April 2011

In April our family of 10, including my 83-yr-old father and his partner, spent just over 2 weeks in France, and were very priviledged to be able to stay in Maison Blanc and Maison Olive, the 2 adjoining houses on the outskirts of Menerbes. Everything was perfect from the location (3 minutes from the centre of town) to the furnishings which included everything we needed, and more. We had 2 Vito buses so parking was important, but we also wanted to be close enough to the shops for our daily baguettes which we could fetch early every morning. From Menerbes it was a short drive to the Auchan supermarket in Cavaillon for a big grocery shop, to the various Provencal markets and to scenic spots like Mont Ventoux for the Tour de France fans in our family. Although we never saw the owners, the instructions they provided prior to our arrival were spot on, and they were only a call away - we even received instructions and food for the cat which visits regularly. The South Africans will feel very at home amongst the beautiful Carrol Boyes pewter ware. All in all, a wonderful experience from arrival to departure.
