A special experience at Waterfalls Homestay - thank you :)

We stayed in the studio room for 2 nights and extended our stay by an extra night. The studio room was spotless, well equipped and had a really homely feel. It was private and up a set of stairs away from the main living area.

The breakfast here was another level, it was by far the best breakfast we’ve had in Sri Lanka after being here just over a week.

The hosts Kiah and Lakshan were so friendly and laid back, they gave great recommendations for things to do in Ella and provided a map for local walks and helped us with arranging a transfer for the next part of our trip.

The setting is so peaceful, a short tuk tuk from the bustle of Ella, also a 15 minute walk if you’d rather go by foot, a powerful torch was left in our room for walking back in the dark.

A must stop in Ella!

Wow what a location. Opposite a running waterfall, with the occasional sighting in the distance of the famous Ella to Kandy Train.

The accommodation was like staying in someone's beautiful home. The rooms were really comfortable, the hosts were wonderfully welcoming, and the morning breakfast muffins were to die for.

With the added bonus of the lovely Ella being a 10minute tuttut ride away, i'm not sure there is anywhere better to stay if visiting that part of Sri Lanka.

We stayed three nights at Waterfalls Homestay and enjoyed every second of it! The food was delicious every single day. The breakfast by itself would be a reason to spend a night here: next to curd and fruit salad, a different kind of home made muffin every single time! To top up, the hosts with their rich mix of cultures (Birmese, Australian, Singalese) bring the best of all worlds to this single place. I hope we can visit again!
