Having found ourselves in a very gloomy property in the very chilly high tea country, we threw in the towel and booked a night at Waterfalls Homestay, where we were lucky enough to stay three years ago. Delightful hosts, very comfy room and simply delicious breakfast. Ella rocks with lots of fabulous places to dine in the evening - cocktails, delicious food and live music. A serious lift to the spirits.
My parter and I were reccomend Waterfalls Homestay and we couldn't have been happier to have landed there for our one night stop over in Ella. Kiah and her family were the perfect hosts, settling us in, giving us a great tip for dinner, helping out with transport, and providing a beautiful breakfast in the morning. The setting is stunning and the room was comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again and would reccomend for anyone looking for a gem in Ella, this is it!
An absolutely beautiful place to stay, directly opposite the Little Rawana Falls.
The accommodation was excellent clean, tidy and very comfortable.
The breakfasts were beautiful, home made, tasty and plentiful.
Our hosts were delightful and pleasant with a fantastic knowledge of the local area and were only too pleased to arrange tours and transportation.
All in all our stay was fantastic and we will definitely return.
We could have not have hoped for a better place to stay than Waterfall Homestay. Kiah, Lakshan and their toddler Jasper were very welcoming, answering our many questions, directing us to major and lesser known attractions and treating us more like friends rather than guests. The waterfall and treescape views were mesmerising, the room spacious and stylish.
The bed was comfortable and we both slept really well in the quiet surrounds, waking each morning to birdsong and the sound of the waterfall gushing. The bathroom was large with plenty of shelving and a good sized towel rack and the water pressure and heat of the shower excellent.
To top it all off, the generous and delicious home made breakfast was really something to look forward to each day.
It was very hard to leave! Highly recommended
This stay is just amazing. You have comfortable rooms with a direct view on the local waterfalls. The hosts are super kind. The breakfast is the best in Sri Lanka. The landlord lady even prepared a cake for my girlfriends birthday
