They are conveniently located right on the main road with a quaint little cafe, kottu roti stand, restaurant, and souvenir shop in front. They were good with keeping our rucksacks as we went trekking, and booking a car to our next destination. Very helpful people! The rooms were a good value for money. Clean and comfortable. Hot shower available. I recommend them!

The room we had was at the ground floor and the access was either through the kitchen or the parking lot. The furniture was old and cleanliness doubtful. The mattress was obviously not clean and so were the bed sheets, unfortunately. Only one light bulb was functional and the ceiling fan looked as if someone had plucked it out.
Breakfast looked promising, but the waiters were so slow, that we had to give up after half of hour waiting (we only received the coffee during that time), for fear that we might miss our train.
Moreover, the price (approx. 4700 LKR for the night) was the highest we paid for a room in Sri Lanka, which made our experience even more of an unpleasant surprise.

Pro: Hot water. Large room. Good location (as most accommodations in Ella, which is a small village, so everything is close by).

We stayed here for one night on Dec 31st.The room was large and spotlessly clean and cost £15 for the two of us -breakfast included!!!It was fun to be in the centre of Ella on New Years Eve and sit at their downstairs restaurant watching the world go by but dont think Ella is a quiet place There is loads going on and great shops to browse in.Also when we arrived our cases were taken to the room and brought from the room on our departure which was very much appreciated as was organizing a Tuc tuc to the station.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back are quieter

Excellent price for my large room with bathroom right in the centre of town. Good wi fi and fantastic that the two levelled restaurant is adjoining in front. This creates a buffer from main road noise of which I heard none from my room. A nice big roof top with clothes line to sort out some washing was a bonus. The staff were really professional. I can't recommend this place enough

It was probably the hotel we appreciated the most in Sri Lanka. It is well situated in the center of Ella, the rooms are big, we had one with a balcony and it had a lot of charm. The staff was really nice. It wasn't expensive, comparing to some other hotels and gh in this region.
