The staff is very helpful and will help you any way they can. The location is very good it's near the board walk where a lot happens at night. From music to massage can be had there. They have a roof top restaurant that has great views of the mountains and bay. The price is good for the location. The only thing I did like was the internet don't work in my room so you had to go to a public spot to get it..all in all it a good deal for the money.

Room size was clean and comfortable for 3 adults to sleep with air-con and a small complete bathroom but no hot water neither in the sink nor shower. There was leaks in the shower door and sink so we just had to ask for extra rags to keep it clean and dry.
Early breakfast at the roof deck was great with a view of the sunrise over the sea. Cereals with milk, toasts and eggs (your choice of scrambled or sunny-side up with the help of Mr. Good Waiter) was a great way to start the day and catch the turtles in their habitat reef. The elevator was a great help though they needed to repair the air-con in the lobby. Our overnight stay in C and L was a great help to recover from the long trip from La Castellana to Dumaguete and the next day freshen up from the morning beach experience with the turtles and our friends just in time for lunch. Free WIFI was weak so better to load your own mobile data.

Room Tip: West side rooms have great views of the sea and welcome the morning with the sunrise.

The challenge in Dumaguete, where traffic causes quite some noise all the time, is to find a place where one can sleep peacefully. In this hotel we slept really well, and next time we come to town, we'll stay here again. Rooms are pretty small but clean. Staff is friendly and always offers a smile. Breakfast is a buffet on the roof so one can enjoy the sunrise. Real coffee instead of nescafe would be a nice improvement.

Room Tip: some rooms have ocean view

This hotel was just an alternative of our hotel in Dumaguete. The hotel offered free shuttle service from the airport from the rime we arrived in Dumaguete. for a group of nine, the coaster was very big. Since we have a lot of luggage, the coaster was just right. The driver was also very warm, hospitable, and helpful. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the staff at the lobby. They were very pleased to attend to our needs. The rooms were good but were quite small. The beds were comfy. Our room was situated in the 6th floor and has a great view of the sea and you could catch the sunrise. I definitely like the design of their rooms were the doors to the bathroom, shower room and balcony were sliding doors. This feature of the hotel is very convenient to senior citizens and PWDs. I also had an issue with their internet connection, their WiFi can only be accessed in the hallways, it can't be reached inside the rooms or you just stay in behind the door to have access to their internet. However, the internet speed is not that slow. I think hotels in Dumaguete should invest in their internet connectivity since foreigners flock the city. I was just a bit concerned about their elevators. i hear some noise in the ceiling and the doors would take a few seconds before it opens when it reaches the desired floor. The elevator would also take time to go up from the ground floor. This would give the hotel a bad impression and security issue from its guests if not addressed immediately. I was amazed at their roofdeck restaurant because it has a great view of the city and the sea. At night, an acoustic band relaxes you and maximizes your stay. They also offer complimentary breakfast buffet for the whole duration of your stay. What I didn't like about it was their staff was rude and not welcoming. I understood her situation since only two of them were attending to the guests. That time, the service was quite full. The buffet were only limited for a few choices of food. I opted for waffles since it was made to order and it would be delivered to your table piping hot. Overall, I like my stay in C & L Bay View Inn. I would definitely recommend this to those who are travelling to Dumaguete City. The location of the hotel is convenient to places like Rizal Boulevard, Silliman University, Robinsons Placce Dumaguete, and Sans Rival Bistro. The hotel has much to offer which makes them in line with their competitors. I certainly would come back to C & L Bay View Inn for my future visits to Dumaguete City.

Room Tip: Select the rooms near the rooftop so that you can have a good view of the sea or in the city.

The Bay View Inn is perfectly located, a short walk to the Rizal promenade. With its psychedelic colors, the hotel has everything it takes to attract customers. The rooftop restaurant offers offers a panoramice view of the city and the rooms are relatively spacious. But like in every organization it is all about people. And something is completely wrong with the attitude of (most of) the staff. Breakfast opened every day too late, room was not cleaned and an early check out was delayed because the staff was sleeping at their desk. I think the management of this hotel needs a wake up call.
